A captain that has lived long enough to be give a well known repetitive speech is the kind of captain you want to be under. Unless you personally prefer to get the job done and go home.
Just reading the comments, but I think people miss the point of this speech. He wasn’t trying to build them up or give them false hope, he was reminding them of who they were: soldiers. No soldier is guaranteed greatness or even a ride home, but they are all guaranteed a place on the battlefield, and there is no point on said field more important than guarding the front line. It is the vanguard what halts the enemy just long enough that the heavy infantry or shadow ops to break the enemy ranks and win the day. Short lived these soldiers were, both in story and battle, but soldiers they were nevertheless.
The small speech goes unreasonably hard for an emotional beat that only began ~5 minutes beforehand. Dont get me wrong its not a series-defining moment or anything, but it very quickly and effectively makes you care about these guys. Its a feat of writing and I think this is where Mass Effect stopped being just "kinda charming" to being a story i was very emotionally invested in Also cuddos to the VA, he does a great job selling it. The best dialogue in the world can fall flat if performed flat, and this does not do that.
I really hope that Kirrahe will be in the new upcoming game tho I'm really not sure about it since salarians don't really live for too long. But we also don't know about the new timelines so we'll see. Hope I'll live to see a new ME game

"Personally preferred to get job done and go home." - Mordin Solus
"Probably military bravado, jargon, chest-pounding. Ehh, no offense."
I had a really good laugh when mordin commented on this
RIP PMS
I didn't think he liked the speech but i had him on the wrong mission and when he died his last words "tell them i held the line" 😟😪
Bit of a cloaca though.

Man speeches in mass effect just hit deferent
I agree. Thank you for watching
While fighting the geth I held the line

Felt this, you put it in words. Thanks.
Say what you want but this is still my favorite moment in the whole game. I can't explain why, but I love it so much.
I'm just going to guess Wrex ignored the part of speech talking about krogan
If he lived
@@Poko14 ……and by if you mean guaranteed I mean you wouldn’t kill one of the best people in the series right? RIGHT?!
@@hmasterchaos8700 I didn't lol, but he can die, lucky I didn't find that out the hard way
I mean he was correct.
I said this to my office workers (obviously taking the mass effect history out) and it killed, fired everyone up and nobody was the wiser.
Some of you may die, but that is the sacrifice I am willing to make.
Some of you may die, but that is your job dammit you know what you signed up for
He also dies if you don't do all the side tasks to help him
He's also fighting too. He's not just sending his men in, he's leading them in.
Javik: you ate flies.
Always wished Captain Kirrahe had made a promotion to a companion. Would of made a great addition to MS 3’s kinda limited selection.
Nice guy... bit of a cloaca though.
He looks like he's riding a hoverboard just out of view
Now that you mentioned it, I can’t unsee it 😂
Seeing how he’s moving id say your pretty much right.game was made in 2007 after all lol i feel old.turning 30
He borrowed it from Saren
Have a job interview today, don’t mind me coming here to get inspired by the second best Solarium
One of the best speeches ever
Love isn’t always on time
Not gonna lie, I kind of wish Kirrahe would have been available as a potential replacement squad mate in place of the Virmire sacrifice
Me too partner me too
I miss this voice in mass effect 3..
he is a good leader, cause he knows, they are intelligent in battle, but before that victory they held the line
YES RAWWWRRRR *PUNCHES WALL* LETS DO IT
