It hurt my heart to see Major so excited at the idea of Henry and Sam joining the squad while knowing it doesn’t end well 😩

Henry’s World revolved around Sam, and once Sam was gone, so was Henry’s World 😢. This was a sad one but it was also a banger.
The fact that Neil changed the story a bit from the game by making Sam more younger and deaf, and made Henry to be rat to save his little brother from illness instead of being outsiders being caught slipping in a town run by scavenger hunters just gives the show more of a stronger impact when Sam get infected and killed by Henry. Because that right there is what connected Sam and Henry relationship to Joel and Tommy relationship. Henry literally trying to sacrifice his life for his brother, like what Joel would do for his.

Omg, "who she think she is, Simone Biles?!" I died. The kid that did that is actually a 9 year old up-and-coming gymnast and contortionist. Maybe that scene SO scary with her unnatural movement range.
34:24, in the podcast the producers said the Anthony (aka Silver Fox) character is a man in his 70’s or 80’s. So most of his life he has lived in a normal world.
Now in the last quarter of his life he was living in an apocalyptic environment. Anthony made a move on Joel so his suffering could be ended not because he believed Joel would hurt him.

My heart broke when Sam wrote "is it still you inside" that's when i guessed he'd been bitten but seeing him sat on the bed in the morning and attacking Ellie i was crying and then Henry having to kill him and then himself was absolutely terrible!!
But another phenomenal episode and that Bloater man Jesus Christ!!

Most of those infected were NOT cgi. Most were actors, gymnasts/stuntmen/etc in practical make up and prosthetics. The big guy was a 6ft 6" tall dude wearing like an 80 lb suit. It looks so much better for being real. I swear you can tell.

The big MF is called a Bloater. The theory is he was originally a big guy with a lot of mass like a football player. If you noticed the regular infected are skinny because the fungus has eaten away at their bodies. But with larger guys the fungus has more to feed on and it can grow beyond the head and ends up covering the entire body like armor. Don't try to fight, just run.

Actually the clicker becomes over filled with spores and bloats up as the fungus grows throughout the entire body. This why they are called a bloater.
But the show is different as there are no spores so my guess is the fungus evolved a new species to protect the swarm like Supermajor ants protect their colony of workers

50:28 Anyone out there saying "it's just a show" is either heartless or someone without a child in their life. Anyone responsible for a little one can understand what must have been going through Henry's mind. Look at how quickly Henry sprang into action. His first action was to grab the gun to protect his brother. Even though he still didn't quite know what was going on, he shot at the floor to keep Joel from Sam. Once he realized what was going on he instinctively shot the Infected, not really realizing it was his brother until he saw his brother lying on the ground and blood spilling out of his body, and then the shock of what he had just done rushed in.
The first person Henry actually killed was his brother, the very person he swore to protect. He gave up everything to be with his brother, and like that it was all gone. I can't even begin to image the amount of grief he was just hit with. RIP Sam and Henry, RIP ='(

In this episode you see the moral gray area these people live in but Kathleen lives in a more black and white place.

I thought it was funny that a lot of reactors either forgot about bolt actions or just don’t know a lot about guns but just to let you know bolt-action rifles only hold one bullet so every bullet you heard was followed by a manual reload of another single round into the chamber all the bullets are held separately from the one in the chamber either in a strap on the stock or in boxes.
I was thinking about space between shots and how long it takes, I think they were cutting it close with realisam. But with Joel's experience maybe he is super fast with it...

What up man!? Great reaction. Felt the same way. Gotta ask - what .40 you got?! Haha Rifle like that will almost certainly have an internal magazine holding 5 or so rounds. And reloading with the scope in that position over the bold would likely eliminate any use of a clip to reload meaning it’s one-by-one on the reloading. 😬 but the dude could carry a backpack full of rounds for it, so presumably he could have taken that many shots, but it would take a lot of time every 5 rounds to get the rifle back up and ready.

The point though was that he didn't. He brought hope, but he couldn't get anything done. He is a Frank. Someone who can accomplish a lot once a Bill or a Joel (or a Kathleen - if she hadn't lost too much of herself into her grief) first makes a safe environment.

I get Katherines point tho one person is not worth the survival of the race of the humans/ the greater good like look what Henry did he singly handed killed all of the people of Kansas City basically imagine if that was it and that happened and the human race woulda died out right there.
a revolt happened cause you gave up their leader for drugs your whole structure fell and then 11 days later everyone else died.
So in hindsight all those innocent people died along with the guilty but all for noting cause Sam dies anyway.
That’s Katherine’s point and I get it.
Henry didn't kill the people of KC, Kathleen did. She saw the floor in that building and ignored it, preferring to chase after Henry instead of dealing with a major problem. The vehicle crashed and sunk into the ground, releasing the infected, because of Kathleen's orders, forcing Joel to protect Ellie. If the sniper hadn't been there, Joel wouldn't have gotten the rifle so that he could act as a sniper himself. Every order Kathleen gave led to the infected being released. Yes, Henry's actions led to the death of Kathleen's brother, but it was her demand for "justice" that caused everything else to happen, including Sam becoming infected. If Kathleen had just focused on ANYTHING other than Henry, the infected probably wouldn't have gotten out. That's on her, not Henry. Henry may have given up a life to save a life, but he still did it to try and help someone. Kathleen just wanted revenge. Her actions only lead to pain and death for the entire city.
@@psychokitty71 but none of that ever happens if Henry doesn’t put sams life over EVERYONE in Kansas City. He doesn’t sam dies everyone lives and a revolution doesn’t happen.
@@Ld.801 Henry chose to put Sam's life above one man's, not the whole city. Everything else was on Kathleen. If Kathleen had just taken care of the problem when they found it, instead of ignoring it to search for Henry, then KC wouldn't have been overrun by the infected. Henry's actions just set up the situation that led to the downfall of KC. Kathleen's actions were the direct cause. Henry still could have sacrificed the leader of the rebellion for Sam and nothing happen to the city or it's people if Kathleen hadn't done the things she did. I'm not saying that Henry was 100% in the right, I'm just saying that he didn't choose Sam over the whole city. He chose Sam over one person. Kathleen chose to pursue Henry over the lives of the whole city and that's what led to the infected being released on the city.
