This is one of those projects that shows that there’s a difference between movies and films. Every shot is a conscious decision to serve a purpose. You gotta love it.
When they ask her if she's married, what they are really asking is if there's family that will miss her if she disappears.
Or rather, because the cartels will target her family if she's found out.
@@Red-Brick-Dream It's both. They're covering both ends - There's a reason it's Alejandro who visits her in the end and not Graver.
Had she not signed, there would have been a "suicide" (which let's face it, with how she broke down during the movie... They could have easily swept under the rug) and someone else from the inter agency co op would have signed.
All yall hit the nail on the head. I do however think the main threat is the use of an agent’s family as leverage against them. Idk for sure though, I’m just a bartender so don’t take my word for it lol
This movie is so much more scary when you know what is really happening in America. This guy is like a innocent lamb.
A sheep!
What’s happening?
@@TheNVSCorporation nothing lol. Homie thinks real life is like the movies.
Who is?
@@Gr13fM4ch1n3 as a mexican, is far more worse
What happened in Juarez in the movie is spreading all over Mexico into smaller areas. My mother read that a town where she grew up in is being overran by the cartel. Someone tried to drive through and their car got shot up just because they drove into the wrong territory and the people didn’t recognize the car driving through.
Denis Villeneuve is prob the best director going right now. This movie was written by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone creator) and I would highly recommend his other movies: Hell or High Water and Wind River. Both are similarly good at building tension and modern western storytelling.
The music just gives the feeling of dread and anxiety. The cinematography is just exquisite especially the sunset shots.
One of the most intense buildups in movie history as they set up the journey into Juarez!
I always type the same in every video related to this movie, the day when they were recordong that scene, it's not in Juárez, those streets whonlike like favelas we're in San Lorenzo Naucalpan 30 min of México city, those same streets were used in men of fire with de zel Washington, the bridges if wasnt wrong was i in Iztapalapa,, those places are rigged of poverty and insecurty and still we're safer record there than in the real Cd Juárez 🤣
Here we go 🔥 2nd one is worth watching also ✌️
16:40 Alejandro establishing dominance without saying a word 🔥😎
If you loved this one you should consider watching the director Denis Villeneuve (who directed Dune) other films like Arrival (one of my top 10 favorites) and maybe the original Blade Runner and it's sequel that Denis directed decades later.
And Emily Blunt is another favorite and you should definitely consider watching some of her stuff like The Girl on the Train, Edge of Tomorrow, and A Quiet Place (my favorite film of hers) and its sequel.
Thanks for workin hard to keep us entertained Major!
As an FYI this movie was mostly filmed in Albuquerque oh, the military base you see them using is actually the old Westside jail. Also just a fun fact there was really a house like this that was discovered in Albuquerque on the Westside, it had over 15 women's bodies in it which ironically is the same side of town that the scene takes place in
Love this movie, the cast is absolutely incredible.❤️🎥❤️
Del toro was absolutely perfect for that role.
Although this movie is not technically based on a true story, this movie is the sad reality for Mexico and some of the border towns in USA.
“13 Hours; The Secret Soldiers Of Benghazi”
“Act Of Valor”
“Hell Or High Water”
All are excellent seeing as you enjoyed this.
Act Of Valor is sort of unique if you look up the “actors”
All are excellent
“Cmon Regg please be ok! Please don’t be one of those movies the black dude gotta die in the first 10 minutes!” Your commentary always gets me bro! 😂🙌💯 If Daniel Kaluuya went out like that ten minutes in I would have rage quit too my dude 😂👏🤝
That TTS sounded hilarious. But I get it, you need to know everything that is going on. Just like that bracelet, I did not pay attention to that on my first watch.
P.S. You should check out "The Unknown Soldier (2017)". It's an amazing, foreign, WWII movie. I think you'd like it.
This film truly deserves the title Masterpiece of Film.
Regarding your surprise at some of the savagery, the Cartels have no bottom, there is nothing too brutal, demented, or over the line, AND they relish in the terror it instills in others.
Bottomline: never, ever fuck with the Cartels, they will eliminate your entire family just to make a point.
when your dealing with people who do not care and will kill anyone for any reason than you have to play the same way. period.
If you liked this movie, you might like Munich by Steven Spielberg. It doesn't have to do with the cartels, but similar tense high leverage scenes with a lot of moral ambiguities.
A really cool film with Benicio Del Toro to watch is Hunted (2003).
5:14 Kate is okay with weapons but she is about to meet some real deal operators
subtitles have been invented
Didn't provide subtitles for when they started talking in Spanish smart-ass that's why I had that translation on duh 🙄
Idk if you peeped the news but this movie hella relevant rn, 4 Americans were just kidnapped and 2 killed by the Cartel over the weekend
that soundtrack is a masterpiece 🔥🔥🔥
Josh Brolin plays Thanos & Benicio Del Toro, the Sicario, is the Collector in the MCU.
Please check out a more rare movie called Only the Brave with Josh, a true story about Hotshot wildfire firefighters - he’s a main character.
And Del Toro is awesome in The Usual Suspects. Emily Blunt is great too!
I am SO GLAD you watched this. I watched it pretty much like you. I kept seeing it on iTunes for $4.99 and one day I just bought it without reading what it was about. I’m glad I did. That movie is HARD CORE. Watch the sequel! It’s as good!
Yeah I can't wait to watch the second one Gerard
One of the best movies of the 2010s imo
*We told you not to go in the bank Kate.*
Saludó desde la República Dominicana excelente vídeo
You gotta check out Sicario 2 also!
Alejandro & Kate did another movie together b4 this one highly recommend…The Wolfman: Unrated 👍🏽
Not sure what the problem is. I try to watch your videos but they won't play. I assume it's on your end because I watch other videos on vimeo. I'd love to subscribe as a patreon but I can't because I can't see ish
the main character is also great in the movie Looper, i hope that ends up on the list somehow
Major, you gotta watch Edge of Tomorrow too
Sicario 2 is worth watching. Not as good as the first one but still pretty good. Any other Denis Villeneuve movie is great as well.
🤠
I rewinded this movie dozen Times at least so many holy shit moments so good gangster as fuck but the government I love this movie it's wild

Yup real good one
Only saw this with commercials so the watered down version but still good .
Hey brother! I live in El Paso Texas
And Juarez Mexico is literally a rock throw away

"Puff, Puff, aint no passin,' hahahaa!!

this is a really good movie overall my only downside is emily blunt character which i know she can be a good actress its the role of a whiney fish out of water situation shes in a room full of mercenaries on the hunt for cartel and constantly surprised and confused, i liked her at the beginning in the house the best part of this movie is at the border crossing, i am watching a tv show called the bridge about the border and cartel
Brolin is Thanos btw.
masterpiece
idk if you’ll see this but there was already a huge wall pre trump but now it spans the entire border. trump did a lot of it and then biden finished it early in his term
8:26 This movie is chock full of MCU alumni. Josh Brolin played Thanos and Cable. Jon Bernthal played the Punisher. Benicio Del Toro played The Collector. You already spotted the dude from Black Panther. Maxmilliano Hernandez played SHIELD/Hydra Agent Jasper Sitwell.
Side note: Emily Blunt’s real life husband John Krascynski played Reed Richard’s aka Mister Fantastic in an MCU movie recently. Many people want her to play Reed’s wife Sue Storm in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.
Alejandro is the sicario.
great movie and great reaction! this movie and No Country for Old Men are 2 of my favorite movies of all time. if you haven't seen No Country, PLEASE react to it!
you gotta watch part 2 💯
about the wall: trump did build some of the wall, but there was also a lot of wall before he took office. a lot of it is just politics, you know, it doesnt really mean much. most of the populated areas have walls and are heavily fortified and secure, but there are also places where there's hundreds of miles of wide open border but the terrain there is extremely harsh and there's no civilization around so crossings arent as common. people die from heat/dehydration trying to cross sometimes. but the coyotes from the cartels take those routes, and charge a lot of money to get people through them. the border patrol tries to patrol those areas but they have like 1 person in a truck to guard hundreds of miles, its impossible.
Yo Major. Hope your day was amazing. Thanks as always for the upload. 🍻
Thank you Austin for coming along hope you had an amazing day as well
@Major Reacts I appreciate that! Me and my 2 boys had a blast today.
If you like Jon Bernthal (Ted) watch The Accountant 2016 Ben Affleck JK Simmons Excellent Movie❤
“Life is like a box of chocolate’s.
You never know what you’re gonna get”
Forrest Gump 😉
For some reason the narration made me think of the ones in American Psycho lol
Don't forget to watch #2
I heard it's has a part 2 good movie
👍👍👍 liked the part with the translation especially 👊 and at least he ended the Family fast, no Acid involved ,still wonder why he ended the father so fast not letting him suffer more ,the guy he interrogated suffered Much more ... still love the Movie but ... missed opportunity and easy way out for the main Villain
As great a film as this is (an epic tale of moral ambiguity with no obvious "heroes" or "villains" - however much the gun-toting and violence-glorifying crowd may think it depicts them), even Sicario pales in comparison with Villeneuve’s earlier film, "Incendies", in this regard.
Blazer, Laser and all kinds a Azer.
3 years later they had a sequel. 2018
Please watch 2nd one
Glad this one got pick it good one!! And even second one
Sicario 2
10+
No That is not a Trumper wall.
Sorry to tell you that but the audio description ruins everything.
WHO WHAT HUHH IS THAT NARRATION AT THE LAST TWENTY MINUTES???
THAT WAS ODD. BUT IF IT HELPS YOU GO FOR IT. SIR. GRRRRRR8 FILM.
Awesome reaction part 2 is even better hope to see you then 👍😎
Real? This movie seems real. Not comfortable - not easy to watch - no happy ending - no easy to ignore movie effects - just in your face reality. South of the border life with cartels instead of governments.
How does this affect YOU? Stop using illegal drugs - yeah, YOU! What does the money you spend on drugs fund? Yeah - stuff like this. Truth - whether you like it or not. For REAL.
So u gonna just blab through the whole thing?
Lol the movie came out before trump was president. There has always been a wall in the high traffic areas.
Why do you have that weird narration on bro straight ruined the movie
Then go watch the reaction elsewhere 🙄
we've had a wall since bush administration
Damn Trump had me thinking he was the one who was building the wall smh 🤦🏾
@@MajorReacts It was a fence. Trump started construction on a new wall - very different - but I forget how many miles they finished before the administration changed.
I thought the first wall/fence was erected during the Clinton administration, but I could be mistaken.
Edit: Yup. It was the Clinton administration. You can search "Operation Gatekeeper". I think that was the initiative.
Real life is much worse than you see here. Just a taste. 🙏
Wow that is scary this movie was good but it definitely brought out a lot of truth of what's going on in the world.
Yoooooo
Cartel's have lawyer's ... xexe what a princes you are ... we bild a wall in Mexico ? Ignorence is bless
Yeah them finding all the bodies is real bad problem here in Texas not too long the ago in my neighborhood they found over 50 immigrants in a semi truck that had been left there with no air conditioning inside of it locked inside and most of them had died when somebody finally went to go check it out
Holy shit I didn't hear about this at all did this make news? Actually I don't even listen to the news bc you don't know what you can trust now a days but this is wild thank you for sharing Victoria
@@MajorReacts San Antonio Texas happened last year I want to say around October it made national news for probably like a week or two and local news it was like a month-and-a-half he left the truck back behind the subdivision over by some train track where nobody goes
Emily Blunt is Wifey
You had some weird version for blind people.... or I don't know. That commentary was pretty annoying to me.
Trump did some part of the wall, but what you seein is from before he was president. It is crazy to me that people dont know that there was a lot of wall on the border already, and im not even from the US, im from Argentina and i know it 🤣🤣🤣
Movie is from 2015 for context 😉
A bit more of context:

What happened to Democrats that now they oppose border security?
Thank you Dolton for putting me on and your right I should have know but I don't dig into alot of stuff just bc you don't know if it's true. But thank you
There was always a wall buddy, trump did nothing
Dont even know this movie not interested
bruh..............stop...............TALKING
It's a REACTION go watch the movie yourself lmao
Glad to see the young heads still repping Pac
38:11 a gun shot kills the guard 😂
Absolute banger of a movie.
Iam a wolf anyone outside of my pack is a threat
Bruv, we don’t need emotional women making irrational decisions in big situations.
