They are gorgeous! I have a friend who lives in a neighborhood near the airport. He told me the entire neighborhood had to upgrade its windows to reduce noise from the planes. The windows would literally shake till they break. So many reasons EV planes are a great idea.
For me electric helicopter will be great for nature for less maintenance but there is 1 big drawback they need to improve Like air ambulance helicopter needs upgrade and a helicopter has a big capacity to carry heavy loads and design looks like pick up SUV in a helicopter design The closest design just Like Tesla cyber. Truck in a Electric helicopter fusion
I think that's a concern too, but one thing about these vehicles is that they produce a lot of high pitched noise that rapidly decreases with distance. Maybe with the height of the buildings they're planning to operate from, they will be quiet enough from the ground. Either that or their heliports will just sound like a beehive.
Notice no images of poor weather, low visibility, or coping with turbulence from gusting winds or venturi and rotor wind shear effects through buildings. No flocks of birds or man made low level traffic avoidance. It's one thing to fly freight with a remote pilot quite another to put inexperienced, airsick susceptible, light aircraft passengers up there without having skin in the game.
I'm watching this video (5 18 21) and there has been like 7 billion dollars in VTOLs, more than twice what was predicted. just my opinion, I never once bought into uber or anything, I still don't. VTOLs are a game changer
Nice idea but still a Looooooooooong way off. Until the accountability for loss of life and property is sorted out these autonomous taxis are a pipe dream.
There are countries that may move to utilize this technology sooner than a place like the US so they can be the first. Let's see what happens. Thanks for watching.
Yep, and there is some property in the swamp they have to sell you as well if you think autonomous vehicles will go anywhere.... Nice thought, but isn't going to happen. Not economically viable, and the liability would be huge.
@@AINvideo Investors can be clueless or speculating wildly with their over-abundance of money, and their enthusiasm has no effect on the laws of physics. Likewise with the project managers themselves. Helicopters have been around for many decades and do a better job in many ways than these proposals. Why aren't they more commonly used for urban travel?

All this is going to take way way more years to come to fruition than they are saying here..
Very informative.
UAM seems to have a more than firm business case. Good news.

Waaaoo really amezing 👏👏👏
The noise pollution is going to be the biggest problem. Even a toy drone produces deafening buzzing.

Most companies don’t expect to have them flying pilotless for a while… they are still hoping for pilotless flight eventually

good demo

WATCH THE SECRET FLYING CAR FROM AUDI
MARK MY WORDS..
I could already guess from how slow you're talking that this video was probably just over ten minutes long.... checked, and yep, it is.
That's got to be the same technology a 🛸 uses. The cats out of the bag now 😬
I SAID IT 20 YEARS AGO HAHAHA I WAS RIGHT ...
THIS WILL BE THE FUTURE OF FLIGHT...
All except for one company have never made and certified an aircraft.
👍🏻
It's not going to improve congestion. Evtol will be expensive. Only for rich people.

There seem to be investors who disagree with that assertion. Watch this space!

There is also a lot of bluffing
All these designs apart from the helicopter looking one are so bad
