It's time for some transatlantic cruising excitement! Join us for eleven days onboard Norwegian Viva out of Lisbon, Portugal as we cross the Atlantic Ocean. We've got stops in Ponta Delgada (Azores), Havensight (St. Thomas), and Taino Bay (Puerto Plata) before finally arriving in Miami, Florida. We sailed from November 16-27, 2023 on this cruise, which also gave us the chance to celebrate U.S. Thanksgiving Day onboard... let's do this thing!! :D

They're back! Beautiful ship. Seems all the newer ships are going to the Inverted Bow like the Icon Class. Wow transatlantic, would love to do someday. And onto the greatest cruise port in the world, Miami.

Honestly that room does look huge! Super spacious and decent amount of plugs! I have heard the horrors of the shower curtains so glass shower is nice.
It’s the one thing I’m not sure is going to work so well with our Princess cruise this year since we are both plus sized peoples 😅
I feel like that is a handy tip to know btw…when in doubt order the Indian food lol they know how to pack in the flavor. It all looked pretty darn good though

I wish Indulge had everthing a la carte. I wasted 20 sides that came with the ribs
Seriously! You can order *just* a single side if you like, but we didn't notice an option to hold the sides on an entrée. If it's not there already, that would definitely be a helpful addition!!
Indulge is so good but as a wheelchair user I found the Prima completely unfit for me so interested to see if they tweaked anything on the Viva

That looked like a lot of 1st fun and it didn’t seem too crowded. Do you know the % full for your sailing?
I believe they said we were sailing with 1,100 to 1,300 fewer passengers than what she could hold, depending on who we asked, so that was nice!! :D
Quick question, does the water in the cartons change the flavor of the water.
Not that we've noticed. It's similar in taste to plastic bottles to our taste buds!! :P
Brother Jay, what are your favorite specialty restaurants on NCL?
We really enjoy the flexibility and share-ability of Food Republic, especially when using dining package credits, and the food has been great every time we've gone!! :D

Lovely ship. I've only been once to Lisbon as a port stop on a trans atlantic and found it to be an interesting city. QUESTION - How do you manage all the time changes with digital devices / smart watches etc? We have a 5 week trip (round trip from NY - Southampton-Norway-British Isles-NY) in May/June with 4 different voyages. adding and losing hours. Have 2 small travel clocks for "in cabin"; but worried things will synch oddly.
We put all our time zone settings on manual and adjust them ourselves as needed. Any syncing up to the outside world could get you something different than "ship time", so we don't trust it, hah!! :P
They sold you an ocean view --- but all you can see is the parking lot? SCAM!!
(I read an anecdote that a passenger actually made that complaint, but I don't know if that actually happened).
