You are a "real life" inspiration. I started at 405, and got 290 at my lowest. But I've got a plateau & have been hanging in the 290's for 10 months. It's been VERY discouraging. I'm working with a dietician & my doctor, and it's nothing medical. BUT in my discouragement, my steps have dropped off, and this video is a good reminder to keep moving! Thank you!!❤
Aha! It was in our gigantic master vlog playlist, but it wasn't in the "playlist of playlists" on the homepage as it were, ha ha... good catch... fixed it! Thankee!! :P
I actually was working at the terminal that day when NCL Prima left NYC on this cruise and NCL Joy came in empty in the afternoon to start a Bermuda cruise! You guys must have checked in in the rear of the terminal at area 2!
Ok Jay…. We’ve been confused every time we’ve seen those socks. LOL! What are they? Sausages? Life preservers? The Prima hall carpet looks like snowflakes. 😊
Curious to see what you think of Prima on a longer cruise. I was on her first transatlantic - far too little indoor seating, awkward atrium, unpleasantly crowded when the weather kept everyone indoors, tiny Observation Lounge with insufficient seating. Amazing cabin though. Prima is a one-and-done for me.
The ship didn’t get any better, ha ha… we had this Prima sailing booked first, then booked our Thanksgiving sailing last-minute on a whim. We aren’t rushing to get back on Prima or get on Viva, shall we say!! :P
I hope you guys had a blast on the Prima again. It was my first cruise since 2014 and my husband’s first cruise ever. We were on in February 2023. I already miss cruising.
My husband and I got off the Prima the day you guys embarked! We sailed to Bermuda and it was wonderful. Love the Prima! The NCL Joy came into port to take the place of the Prima going to Bermuda ❤
We sail on Prima later this summer. Can you help me understand WHERE to actually make reservations for things like the go karts, mini golf, and the shows? I saw your attempt to use the touch screens near the elevators, but said they weren't working yet. Thank you!
The same thing happened to me. I ordered the shrimp scampi and they brought me the fettuccine and we were going to a show so I just ate it but I love the scampi on night one.
Prior to this cruise, we actually stayed in New Jersey because the cost was less. We did move into the city the night before the cruise to hang out with our friends, but we ended up overpaying for where we stayed, ha ha. We don’t have any solid pics for NYC just yet. :P
@@parodeejay Thank you. Your brisquet melt looked worth it! We will be watching these vlogs really closely. They might convince us to do the same! Thanks to your vlogs we got to swim with turtles at Magens Bay on our 45th wedding anniversary❣️ You're the best!
Hello. Thanks for sharing your experience of Norwegian Prima. This past days, was thinking to go to the Norwegian Viva on 2025 from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. Im gonna watch your videos and decide to go or not 🙏🏻.
Not sure exactly where the entrance was, if it was via the forward elevator lobby or on either one of the hallways, but it might be best to avoid Deck 15 forward if that's a concern!! :P
I must just be spoiled with celebrity.I can't think of one single solitary thing that I actually had to pay for on board once you get all of the drink packages. I am constantly hearing on Norwegian vlogs with this extra and that is extra.
Last check of the definition of the word “transatlantic” meant “crossing the Atlantic”. Since we started in North America and ended in Europe, I’d say we qualified. But thanks for playing!! :P ~Jay
@parodeejay not really. If it left from nyc and went to Barcelona or Rome, say then it is transatlantic, crossing the Atlantic. Iceland is Europe but only partway through Atlantic. But we all know you hate being wrong.
Nah, I’ll be the first to admit when I’m wrong, ha ha… if you have any legitimate sources stating that a cruise involving Iceland doesn’t qualify to be defined as transatlantic, I’d be genuinely curious to see it. I’m going off the definition of the word as explained here (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transatlantic_crossing) or here (www.cruisecritic.com/articles/what-is-a-transatlantic-cruise) in that it can be any crossing involving North America and Europe. ~Jay
I'm enjoying your videos!
Oh i went on that ship 2 weeks ago and it was amazing

Hi Jay, I noticed this vlog is not in the Cruise & Travel Playlist but I am glad to find a vlog I haven't seen yet!

@@parodeejay You tha man!
In Nov 2023 we are booked in the Haven on a Transatlantic from Spain to NYC 11 days on the Prima.
Thanks for posting
That singer was Johnamay who was an assistant waiter on the Carnival Dream at one time. She is a very talented singer with her husband accompanying.
Ohhhhh, loved the new dinner music! Can't wait to finally sail away from New York for the first time!

Yes, we were down with the Deck 15 folks at the far end!! :P
Ok Jay…. We’ve been confused every time we’ve seen those socks. LOL! What are they? Sausages? Life preservers? The Prima hall carpet looks like snowflakes. 😊
I’m not gonna lie, that sail away party looked sad! 😅
And there off. BRING IT ON.🚤⛱
Thanks!
Love you guys going to Europe that's my next trip. See what you post. Love your blog.
Lived in Philadelphia when i first started cruising in the 70s. Sailed out of New York all the time. Wonderful! Have yourself a great cruise🚢😊

Haha, I see me at 12:00 ! Great video!
Ahhh, we were looking for you that day. Dang!! :D

YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! SMARTER AND FUNNIER THAN La Lido LOCA!
Going on Prima in two weeks from Iceland. So excited. Love you guys. Cannot wait for your British Isles series. It’s on my bucket list.
I like a repositioning cruise from Europe because you gain time
Looking forward to your Iceland vlogs. It is one of my favorite vacation destinations. 🫠
So excited for you! Sailing past the Statue of Liberty is on our bucket list, but until then, we’ll enjoy yours!
My husband and I got off the Prima the day you guys embarked! We sailed to Bermuda and it was wonderful. Love the Prima! The NCL Joy came into port to take the place of the Prima going to Bermuda ❤
Awesome! I will be sailing her from Southampton this summer! Can't wait to see your videos on this ship. 🙂
Thanks for the video I enjoyed it 😀
Since we live in Pennsylvania, we either leave outta NYC or BAYONNE. SO, it’s always exciting leaving the port and going under the Verrazano!
Safe travels & smooth seas. You kids ever gonna go home..haha.
Have a wonderful and safe cruise 🚢
hope it is not too noisy on deck 15.we just upgraded to a spa balcony for our sept alaska cruise

Y’all have a great trip!! Hope to see you on the Luminosa in a few weeks.❤
The bridge was the Verrazano Narrows bridge
Looking forward to these vlogs! Where did you stay in New York? Thank you

I actually really want to sail on Prima. It’s just always more expensive than my other options so I’m hoping it’ll go down some once Viva gets going.
You do a good review
Thanks

Gumbo is a rue flour and butter/ lard when cooked it’s brown and gravy like. Yours looked watery in my opinion.
Did ya'll try some Pace picante sauce while in New York? I heard it was just better and more fresh lol 😂 love the video ❤ ding dong!
I have never seen a luggage drop-off on a ship before. That's great. Is that something Norwegian does on all their ships or just certain ones???
Hi, was the entrance to SplashAcademy across from 15750? This teacher needs a break from kids ;)
Not sure exactly where the entrance was, if it was via the forward elevator lobby or on either one of the hallways, but it might be best to avoid Deck 15 forward if that's a concern!! :P
Deserts are an upcharge?! You just solidified the reason why I won't go on Norwegian 😂
That’s because it’s from a speciality shop, plenty of free desserts in the Indulge food hall.
Dee didn’t get the Apple dessert?!?!😮
Which side of the ship do you need to be on to see the Statue of Liberty?
Starboard for sailaway.
I must just be spoiled with celebrity.I can't think of one single solitary thing that I actually had to pay for on board once you get all of the drink packages. I am constantly hearing on Norwegian vlogs with this extra and that is extra.
That's what I was thinking too. So many upcharges. I'll never sail Norwegian
Yes I too feel the same way. NCL has a tendency to nickel and dime you to death. Love Celebrity and has become my favorite cruise line.
I sail on NCL all the time and my onboard bill is usually under $50 when I get off. Those that pay extra are buying incidentals that aren't necessary.
Desert is always necessary 😂
Where did you stay in New York? Was it reasonable?
We don’t have any solid picks for NYC and usually stay where Dee can get a deal… though this “deal” was $400 per night, ha ha… yow!! :P
Its not a true transatlantic cruise
