I appreciate your attention to detail. Yes, if we were demonstrating how to continue transfering someone from the bed, the rail would need to be let down out of the way.
Yes Sir thank you very much for teaching us how to use the Hoyer Lifting System I Already appreciate it I think today early in the morning I tried to put the Patient on the Wheelchairs by my self by Hoyer Lift then I was so excited that it’s very good method but before that I wasn’t able to do it by my self! but now I know that bcz the Other Way working on the Nursing Home. Systems if we don’t use Hoyer as lifting we can Brock Ours Backs easily thanks Sir for teaching us Skills and I need to learn more and to move on 🙏🙏🙏
Do you know how many pounds the Hoyer lift can take? Would it be more beneficial for somebody to have an electric Hoyer lift if the patient is more heavier?
Thank you for your questions. Pricing depends on brands and features, the one shown in the video retails for $750. Depending on where you are in relation to our store would impact shipping or delivery cost.
I think is a terrible demonstration. He didn't show how he placed the sling under the patient; how to hook the sling to the hoyer lift; the length of the attachment should be longer around the legs and shorter around the trunk; he didn't explain the importance of closing the release valve to pump the lift; he didn't lower the bed rail or applied the brakes on the lift when lifting the patient; and last but not least he didn't open the bottom frame to show how to place a patient in a chair, bed or recliner.
I'm sorry you find this to be a terrible demonstration. This was intended as stated in the video as a quick demo to show how this equipment can be used that we sell to our caregivers.
@plazahomecare8681 how about adding a link And making a longer youtube video showing how to position the sling under the patient and giving a full demonstration.
Great question! Our website is always a great resource to find pricing on different types of equipment. Hoyer lifts come in a full electric and manual option and this will effect the price. Your location would also impact the price due to shipping costs. You can call our store Monday-Friday 9am-5pm or Saturday 10am-2pm and any of our team members could assist you.
It does nothing to support the legs. It’s painful for the patient and looks like they are being folded in half. We are using this lift and it’s causing more damage than help. Unfortunately the insurance companies have tied our hands and can’t do anything about it.
Thanks for sharing your feedback. We hate to hear you're having a bad experience. It's definitely not for every patient, but it can be helpful in a lot of situations.
It may hurt them a min but it's better than hurting yourself on heavy ass ppl you just hurt your back the elderly have lived there lives already and u will hurt your back and neck and shoulder mine are broke now cus of elderly unruly residents. Words of wisdom don't work in nursing homes it's to hard after years of it then your backs messed up that's y it's not worth your back cus once your back gets hurt then years later your backs messed up and residents don't care if u hurt your back or your employees the boss doesn't care if you hurt your back.
@kimseevers3430 Thanks for your comment. The weight capacity is 400lbs. for this hydralic lift. The legs do spread apart as well. They do make bariatric versions for heavier weight. Hope that helps.
Lower the side bed rail and you don’t have to raise the engine hoist so high

How did you get the patient in the hoyer lift
Do you know how many pounds the Hoyer lift can take? Would it be more beneficial for somebody to have an electric Hoyer lift if the patient is more heavier?
@nystagmus This one is 450 lbs. Not necessarily some electric lifts have a lower weight capacity.
Can this be used if the patient is sitting down and wants to sit on the bed?

Here is a link to our website with more information on the sling. www.plazahomecare.com/product-page/vive-lift-sling-with-opening
Please Show how to put the sling under a patient that cant move ..as part of the entire instruction
I don't understand why this tools are very expensive?
How do you get to toilet
I just got one of these from my neighbor , but it’s missing that bar in the bottom the thing that looks like a lever. What does that part do?
That makes it wider and more stable
He made it wider before lifting her but didn’t show it. If you look at the handle you can see it’s in a different position
