I really like the DJI. I've actually been thinking about getting it for a while JUST for live streaming here in Japan. Thank you for the comparison vid, its much appreciated!
I love your videos. Keep up the great work. I can't believe how much Thuong's English has come along. It would be great to have better audio for her as well. - HIP
Thank you for this review because I have been looking at gopro and dji comparisons. DJI looks better IMO! I have been an avid viewer since 35k subscribers and I’m so glad to see your channel grow. And I want to see Thoung speak more english, she’s so cute! Take care my favorite cycling couple!
Honestly, I prefer the shot with the arms, also to be able to look at the km counter. If Thuong-Chan will respond to an interview in English, then you will have to respond to an interview of her in her language. 😎 Nice bike ride, quiet places outside the city. Greetings from Sardinia - Italy 💚🤍💗
I like the back pack mount camera. Very clear. Liked the moon sighting. Nice kits on each of you. Japan Olympics did a great job hosting them this year. Thanks for sharing...🎥😎👍👌👊🚴♂️🚴♀️
I dont know if it was the color correction treatment but those rice fields look increadibly green in the footage. Very beautiful!!! And I'm also always impressed by how clean and organized these humble or rural neighborhoods are. Congratulations to the Japanese. In fact, I prefer shooting without arms. However, nothing against them. Great video!!!
Hi there two wheel cruise.. i love to watch your bike tour and all of the information you discuss about action camera, and your touring around japan we get to see and know about japan on your vlogs. watching from the Philippines. Stay safe and God bless!
DJI Pocket 2 has better image quality and I like mount more (higher + no hairy hands ;-) ). But you should try chest mount on Thuong. You have external mic, so no problems with commentary.
The quality of the video is awesome. Thanks for the brief discussion about property. I am currently looking to buy. These videos help with seeing neighborhoods so may be moving near Nagoya in the future.
Thoung-chan is cute with her cycling attire ,and also i enjoy watching this video taken before sun set although all your videos are entertaining but this one is unique i prefer to see your video without your arms hahaha😊😊😊👌👌👌
Great video as always. Days are slowly getting shorter here in Canada. Looking forward to colder weather was a hot summer. My question to you is have you ever try winter biking. Us we bike winter like summer. Only can't bike when the weather deeps below -30c eyes freeze to deadly. Living in the two extreme now hottt summers really humid 40c+ getting longer every year.. Family and I love your videos.
Definitely looking forward to the cooler weather. I grew up and started cycling in Michigan, so I'm very familiar with real winter cycling. I used to do lots of winter MTB rides, but this was before fat bikes became a thing.
Great footage. I was looking into getting a Pocket 2 and wondered what the footage would look like on a shoulder mount as it's not centred and gotta say it looks lovely
First things first, I like that video 😉 I think we all want that interview to happen. The scenery is awesome, it’s a little bit like the landside here in west Germany but with total different vegetation.
I'm on the fence. The DJI is very sharp, but I like the "on the bike" perspective with the gopro. Uh oh, I'm going to have to order another pair of Santic shorts...with the pockets.
I'm gonna have to try the DJI on the chest mount to see how that perspective compares. The new pockets on the Santic shorts are nice. Really convenient for while we're off the bikes.
Nice video, i just got the pocket 2 and want to try it for cycling what mode is the best for that? and also do you use auto or pro settings? battery saver or quality? thanks!
Liked the video to support Thuong's English learning! I used to be an ESL instructor too, teaching to young Korean students. My question for Thuong is: Which part of English do you find most difficult to learn?
I like both, the GoPro hero looks good if you want to focus on the cycling journey. The DJI pocket 2 seems to be better if you have a scenic view that you want to show.
I think Nagakute has some nice quiet areas, but that big road bothers me. Maybe if we ban private cars, we can turn those types of roads into one bus lane and one bike lane on each side. That would be great. And I like both cameras. Definitely just use them for whatever situations you think they’re best suited to.
I actually like having both the quiet areas and the big road (since all the cars just use that road haha). This road turns into a highway to Toyota going east, and going west it goes straight down to Nagoya station, so it's really convenient.
@@TwoWheelCruise But if you ban private cars then all you’ll have is the odd van, truck and rental car. And we have to ban car ownership anyway because the climate is hanging by a thread. We need to make huge changes.
@@TwoWheelCruise Yeah. But I don’t think we have time to invest in total redesigns. We just have to reallocate the road space we have and hope that’s enough. Everything has to be with the mindset to change things now rather than planning for 5 or 10 years down the line.
I like the quality of the DJI camera better, but I prefer seeing handlebars in the video (not necessarily arms, though). The handlebars give more context and it's interesting to me to see how smooth or rough the road is. I know that my favorite shot (handelbars without arms using chest mount) is doable on an upright bike like a mamachari but might be impossible with a more aggressive riding position.
+1 vote for the DJI Pocket 2. You should make the interview video with Thuong-chan in English while she is preparing her favorite rice dish (of course you would have to ask the question in Vietnamise) :)
Great ride, and DJI Pocket 2 wins hands down with GP. Much more light comes to the sensor, much better picture. Great ride, informative and nice to see some country-side/less city-centre videos. I would really appreciate shots in 40/60fps raw - on some GDrive - to compare, as DJI P2 might be the killer-solution for autumn here in Poland and as I know how 'aggressive' YT algos are, I would appreciate source files. It's been done by other YTbers reviewing cameras. PLS put some 3-4GB 5 minutes clips :) ..
I have a dji pocket and loved it, I got it two years ago. I think it's awesome, although for biking I use the GoPro because of the wide lens. I use dji pocket for walks, it has better microphone and possible setups, so better when I'm taking more.
Cool footage - some of the shots, it looks like your wife is a character being steered in a videogame (2:03 as an example). It could be the stabilisation on the camera?
@@TwoWheelCruise Ah, ok. I've done one cycling video on my channel, and it was a bit "fuzzy", almost like it was having trouble streaming. Can the resolution be too high for RUclips? I am a complete novice.
Wow Thuongs english has gotten so great recently! I couldn't imagine how difficult it must be when your other languages are vietnamese and japanese! If you do the Q&A style video, I would very much like to know: When you guys do the rides together, does listening to Cruise's voice and what he's talking about help a lot with learning? Or does Thuong just sorta like tune it out and think about something else, great ride as always guys!
The Pocket 2 seems best for the variety of situations you encounter(on the bike, filming yourself, talking with Thuong). Watching wide angle GoPro footage is a little tiring after awhile because there is so much in the frame. I think the Pocket 2 needs to be more upright and closer to your body though to cut down on the left to right movement. Thanks a lot for the comparison and work!
The dji is better for almost everything, but when I look at your videos I want to get a true experience of what us going on, that means the lighting, not looking as though someone is floating through space and time, the arms give perspective. So do the handlebars. The quality of the videos for me depends on how real it looks rather than how clear it looks. The gopro gives me the best balance of quality and perspective, so far.
As much as I like the chest mount angle (arms included 😝), I was thinking about what if the DJI Pocket 2 backpack mount + moving the GoPro up to the helmet mount? You can sort of play around with the shots while editing and can show more when you turn your head. But then again, that will increase the amount of work from reviewing recordings from 2 cameras.
It does add a lot of work and storage space to film with multiple cameras at the same time, but I do want to try some different combinations like that so we can show more perspectives. She's starting to get a lot more confident with her English lately :)
@@TwoWheelCruise That's for sure. I feel that all the angles you've tried out in your videos look awesome so far!
