Janine Jansen is like a goodess in this performance, her playing comes from somewhere above us. Very inspiring for all of us, still down on earth. Thanks for this wonderful music!
The recording dates back to 2015, when Gergiev conducted the Munich Philharmonic. Gergiev, for not having distanced himself from his country's militaristic politics, was forced to no longer perform in Western countries.
Let us hope people understand that music is music, an area where politics cannot contribute. This is music, and Gergiev is the conductor. Wonderful music and wonderful conductor even if he has another opinion about politics than mine.
I was at a concert with this piece (Brahms) last week. There were two far lesser pieces on the program. They were last. Brahms Violin Concerto must ALWAYS conclude a program!! It will outshine any other work!

This is my favorite Violin Concerto, Her rendition it's Amazing! I Love Janine Jansen, So Beautiful Lady!!!
Happy Easter of love for Renaissance spirit and a lot of delightful music happenings of a kind, never let any evil dare to harm you guys ❤🎉❤
Just listen to her wonderful and graceful and beautiful performance makes I forget about the trouble and annoyances of this trasient world
Breathtaking performance thanks a lot ❤

I respect conductors who speak through music!

Quel bonheur ❤

A shame that doesn't apply to other countries
What a disappointment. For a moment I hoped that Maestro Gergiev had changed his mind and stopped supporting the Kremlin criminals.
no the orchestra demanded he to condemn his own country.... he refused and they fired him..... fk MPO
It is really sad. Wonderful Brahms and… V. Gergiev. Fortunately I can find Brahms without Gergiev.
She is best of best
Best ever seen ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for providing a good performance. The sound output level seems low.
quel bonheur !

music is music, but supporting wars is a crime
@@albertocantoni5064 Where has Gergiev said that he supports the war?
Here in America most musicians are Democrats. Music seems very political.
I am sorry about all the wonderful Russian musicians who today have it hard in their career.
@@albertocantoni5064 Supporting music is not a crime
When the recording was made, Gergiev left, and the video was 6 days ago
The credits at the end say 15th September 2015.
Looks like Gergiev may have actually taken a shower prior to this performance.
A giant
What is the date of this concert please? :D

Althea media should be more concerned with choices of some names, like Gergiev.

I guess her arm is longer than the length of the violin bow.
It is a Chobstick, not a Toothpick... Great conducting comes from Chopstick... 😊
Prima Bruckner e poi Brahms!
