Also fully drain the gels before you put them through the blaster. Keep the gels in a bottle and keep in the fridge without water. I have had gel balls in my fridge for months and they still are good to shoot with.
Think you left the gel balls in the water too long. Take them out after 4 hours and they will be more firm. I think you grew ur balls a little too big.
