Finally! Thank you!
Yes!!! Amazing features now in DP. As a long time DP user I’m super excited for this! Just one question: When clips are stacked in the cue and automatically trigger down to play; does that move get written into the timeline as well just like when you trigger it? Thanks in advance, Matt!
Thanks for this!
very cool. I took this DP thing because it does the chunk/clipping/v rack and the clips which I want to try specifically for scoring. Cubase doesnt do clips yet
When saving a clip to the clipping window folder, it does not save the name of the clip. It names my "clap" clip clipping, then names my "kick loop" Clip Clipping 2. Is there a way to save a clip with its original name so we know what audio file it is?
I like how you used FX on an audio track. Can I set whole FX chains in a single clip on an aux track?
Smart move in a way because Ableton is very good for trying out ideas to video in a very simple way. But it just doesn't have the facilities for scoring to picture that DP has. I think it could be a good way to audition ideas to picture.
Ok, I have an Aux track that I can drag Effects into the Inserts on the Mixing Board, but how do I move them up above as clips so I can add effects to a group of tracks as you demonstrated around 22:00?
Hi great video, new to Dp and I'm here because of the stock plugins quality, please could you show me how to do a live drum replacement? Not recorded but live, I want to use for example the kick coming into the audio channel(played live) to trigger a sample in model 12 replacing the incoming kick live. How do I do it?
Also how do I monitor plugin latency in dp? I want to know per time how much latency round trip a third party plugin is adding to my live set.
Thank you Starr
So when I select some midi notes in the timeline and select 'Pack into Clips' It packs the notes into clips but the resulting clip is not the same length as a bar, its the length of the notes which can be close to a bar but not a bar so then when you play back the clips they loop it some crazy time that is not in sync with the bars for the song. So each time I pack to clips, I have to manually set the clip loop length to align with a bar. Is there some way when you pack to clips to just auto align the clip with a bar? Since the whole idea is to loop the clip I don't know why it does not just do this in the first palace by default.
Are the clips supposed to start playing when you click on them without hitting play in the transport or hitting the space bar?
Is it possible to trigger Scene 1, and AFTER it plays back the number of measures in that scene, have it go to Scene 2 and just park there in a loop until I manually Trigger next Scene. Also is it possible to add automation of fades and panning to individual clips within the scene? E.g. I want volume automation during certain clips within a scene.
In the Content Browser Plugins can you import other sounds from a external drive. I have a lot of plugins on my external drive. Or it is only for plugins on your hard drive?
Do you mean audio samples or effects settings for plug-ins?
@@motuTV Ok I see My listings for some plugins that are not from MOTU and it says no presets found. Like UVI, NI, etc...Some even says disabled. Now I do not have anything recorded yet. Do I have to have something recorded to see them in the browser?
@@bmcbean49 You do not. For further clarification and troubleshooting, I'd check in with our support team on the matter

@motuTV Hi cool stuff! please Can you demo the "aaf omf import" options? thanks in advance
I'll pass this to our team for consideration!
Thanks a lot:)Sorry my English. Could you tell me, сan DP automatise midi plugins?
It sure can
@@motuTV Thanks:) How can I do it?:)
@@slavamonax4174 Read the manual? ;-)
You know it would be nice to offer a per-clip crossfade time, and a per-clip-track crossfade time, to transition between scenes instead of making hard cuts.
How about Play midi notes on a Virtual Instrument Track That will be so Kool with that Clip Feature
I'll pass your feedback along - thanks!
It amazes me that the launchpad support doesn’t work no lights on the launchpad at all!
Why developers didn’t completely map that controller is beyond me since it’s obviously that Market your aiming for.
Thanks for the feedback, Kevin. I'll pass this onto our development team for sure
DP 11 apparently added tons of Novation controller support.
@@glenesis Well if 3 controllers is considered tons I guess. Mine still has no driver!
So you can add apple loops to the DAW
Apple loops may not be formatted as a supported audio file format type for DP. Keep this in mind
Why not just use Ableton? I'll wait,....
too much too soon, remember at the beginning, you mentioned the word 'slowly'? Overcomplicated obfuscation. Terrible webinar.
Thanks for your feedback, John
I got to about 20 minutes in and bailed. I can see how this is a neat feature for hip-hop, electronic music, but it's not a feature that I'll use. There is already too much to remember in this program for an old fart like me to learn a whole new way of doing things. It'll just take away from my current flow and slow me down. But I can see you're trying to cater to a younger demographic.
You can still take advantage of other great DP features in traditional linear track mode. You aren't required to use clips.
@@911truthfarmer I've actually moved on from DP to another DAW. I was having too many issues with some of my Izotope plug ins. DP kept crashing when I tried to use ones that were supposed to be supported.
Content browser doesn’t preview Apple loops
@@kevinsmusicroom1362 I just ran into this last night so I just opened a browser window in Big Sur where the loops are and previewed them there. Be nice to pull them right out of content browser.
@@sizzlemann I have been bothering iZotope to check compatibility with dp. Please write to iZotope support and ask also.
