Hi all cheers again for all the well wishes. I took your advice got checked over. Head scan also blood pressure was normal and x ray was ok no fractures. Onwards and upwards. Cheers all. 👌
One day you will look at this and be grateful that this was the turning point of your sobriety… well done, binge drinking is one of the worst, but glad you are trying to put one foot forward and everyday will get better and better 💕
Glad you went to the Hospital and got checked out. I work for the NHS in Cornwall and I would urge anyone with any kind of facial or head injury to see a healthcare professional no matter how you got the injury. As soon as you walk through their door, you are a patient and it's their job to sort you out, end of. Take it easy Gareth, get better and come back when you are ready and no sooner. Content can wait, your health can't. See you on YT soon 👍
Please look after yourself ; we as viewers wish you the best and I’m sure I speak for most people in saying we’re not going anywhere. We are always here and will be happy to wait for however long it takes. Your health is the mot important thing ☺️
Once a squaddie always a squaddie I could not help myself but giggle brother we have all done it n always will speedee recovery to you n well done as regards being honest n taking it on the chin 👍 lol😊
@@Chubbaknuckles Drown? Do you mean like the bloke in the 1920s who had been drinking at a pub at West Byfleet Station, chose to walk back to Woking along the Basingstoke Canal towpath and in the dark fell into the canal and drowned in four feet of water? Probably better than drowning in a bowl of chicken and sweetcorn soup, though 😁
Always a good idea to get checked out when you’re head is involved. I’ve known two fit guys who just bonked their heads and ended up dying a couple days later.
Thank you Gareth for doing an update on your wellbeing. I couldn't help wondering from time to time how you were getting on as most of your subscribers probably were too. You look a hell of a lot better than the other day. It'll just be a waiting game now, each day will bring a little more healing and you'll be back to your old self. Take care bud. We all love and miss seeing your happy chirpy you and smiling face and remember... Time is a great healer!! xxx
I go to the NHS so infrequently that it took 10 years for me to notice that my doctor had sent my papers back to the NHS. After he stopped working out of my local clinic, he deregistered me and reported me as a missing patient. I had done nothing because I had received a letter from the NHS saying that I didn't have to do anything, unless I wanted to change doctors
I managed to faceplant into the school playground while picking my son up last week. Him darting in front of me, and me falling badly to avoid him. Forehead scraped and split, mildly fractured wrist, glad my wrist took some of it instead of all my head. It takes a good few days to get a clear head again. Glad to hear nothing is broken. All the best.
Glad you got checked over, definitely done the right thing. I'm convinced my local doctors surgery saved my life 10 years ago, I had what I thought was just an extremely sore throat and struggled to even swallow water. Turned out to be quinsy and almost completely blocked my throat. Doc put me on antibiotics and told me if I can't swallow them it's straight to hospital. Antibiotics worked quickly and I lived to tell the story another day, not all hero's wear capes! Glad you're on the mend, and hope all goes well at the dentist.
I’m in that exact situation here now been five weeks self inflicted I’m 36 got bad on the drink when my dad passed came in here looking like Homer Simpson. Seriously cocked up my liver. The staff here have been amazing I feel a twat taking up a bed. Thank you NHS they work their arses off and still have a smile and time for a chat.
They gave me multiple blood transfusions and sewn my stomach back up after an ulcer perforated and I lost so much blood my HG level was 33. I love the NHS - I genuinely thought I wasn’t going to wake up just as they put me to sleep and I’d said goodbye to my partner and mum. It’s the most wonderful thing and anyone who gives blood, I love you all as well.
Yep my wife had chronic pneumonia over last Christmas and I rushed her to our local A&E 18 miles away. She was seen and on oxygen within 6 minutes! Brilliant NHS service, she was nearly a gonna but they pulled her back! Technology used was amazing, great staff too! 😉👍
How fortunate you received such good care from the NHS. Head injuries can be very serious, even if there are no immediate symptoms. Best wishes that you will soon be back to doing all the things you love.
I am from Canada, but I recognize all the hard work that your NHS and our Sask. Health do for us, dispite all that is going on with our respective health setvices.😊. Thanks Gareth.
SO good to see you up and about. Probably for the best that you had an x-ray - could easily have been a fracture in there somewhere. Fingers crossed for the dentist! ❤❤
Oh I'm so glad you went to be checked over, because you reminded me the way you were talking, of my brother-in-law who had hairline jaw fracture, but I so pleased for you Gaz there's nothing untoward 🤗 Have a lovely evening ❤
Hospitals always scare the bejesus out of me and I think a lot of blokes feel like they don't want to burden the NHS - especially when they think it's self-inflicted. You did the right thing in getting checked over, Gareth. Despite the terrible last few years, the NHS staff keep providing an amazing service against the odds🚑🚑🚑 Get well soon, mate👍👍👍
I had to youtube staff a stomach problem I had not been to toilet for like 3 weeks I refused to hospital, I finally went I was told if I left any longer I would have died ..
So glad you took yourself to hospital to get checked over, The main thing now is to rest and feel better. A bit thank you for all you do on the channel, and always putting a smile on our faces.

Good man. Glad nothing serious was wrong! You've got that that peace of mind now and can focus on resting and recovering. NHS is a gem. Take your time and keep your spirts up!
I too cannot fault the NHS, In the last 3 months my partner was very poorly the service they provided was superb, involving scans, xrays and numerous tests he was seen very promptly and given necessary tests quickly no waiting for ct scans etc, he is now on medication for his problem and improving every day. Glad you got checked out and all is well with your jaw. Love to your family, take care.
So sorry to see this, I hope you make a speedy recovery we have all done things we wish we hadn't. Best Wishes to you, hopefully your jaw will realign once it's fully healed.
The food stuff (even though it's what the channel is about) should ALWAYS take second place to both yourself and you family!! We'll all still be here whenever you're ready mate so don't stress about it! 😁
Some of the NHS staff are brilliant, I know that like in all works places there are odd one but over all the staff are excellent. Looks like a bit of internal bruising which will take a week or two but of course it could have been far worse. You do look better than day one mind.
Glad you're ok Gareth. As I said this before I've done it myself a couple of times and it can actually depress you a bit thinking that you've let that happen and feel like you've let ones self down a bit. At least that's a weight off your shoulders. I picked my Dad up from hospital yesterday after a minor op and yes... The NHS do an amazing job despite their problems.
Hi Gareth please consider joining AA I had a friend like you held a job down but was what is known as a weekend alcoholic, he kicked of every Friday night for the weekend. This is more harmful to your body than drinking full time. Don't try and do this on your own, as you have in the past as you will fall, for the sake of your family seek help. Good luck for the future x
Regarding the NHS - I spent two days in my local hospital back in April (I live on Merseyside), they treated me like a king and the food was fine (clean, reasonably tasty, properly cooked etc). Good to see they treated you well also, this standard is seemingly maintained across the board, regardless of your post code. Glad there are no breakages with the old bones though. An injured jaw is the last thing a food reviewer needs!

Not that i would wish you to have to stay in hospital BUT if you did, then you could do a review on the food...i spent seven months in hospital after sustaining a spinal cord injury in 2009 and the food wasnt that bad , full English every morning (my choice) and fish and chips every friday lunchtime...i soon put the weight on that i lost during bed rest! 2 hours WITH an Xray? We waited 19 hours in A&E in North Wales and the missus lost lots of blood! you are so lucky that you have a good hospital near you. Glad that you are ok with no breaks. Thanks for sharing.

Glad you’ve gone to the hospital. Take care. You look better today 😊 last time I had a problem my GP sent me to the hospital, a couple of hours, blood tests and an injection and a scan for the next day. As soon as I left the scan next day, I went into town, 15 minutes later the hospital rang me explaining my bloods were ok and scan was clear, and they were passing details to my GP. In just over 24hrs sorted out.
Yes, Gareth looks a lot better. In the first video he looked mentally shaken up. Well, it would have been a shock. So lucky that a good Samaritan... *Edit:* This comment never got finished, because the Android tablet ran out of battery! Zero per cent charge left. But you likely guessed what I was going to say, namely it was good that a Good Samaritan turned up in the spur of the moment.
I have just spent nearly two days in an NHS hospital for a potentially serious issue. The care was amazing, thorough and no stone was left unturned. All processes were very efficient and I cannot speak highly enough of them. Glad that Gaz hasn't got a more serious injury.
Wishing you a speedy recovery Gareth. I had one too many a few months back, fell asleep sitting on arm of my sofa fell off and ended up with broken collarbone bone poking out my shoulder 🙄
I get the point about wasting time for the services, felt that way for visits of my own in the past, but when you’ve got young ‘uns there’s not point taking the risk and finding out the hard way something serious happened. Nobody intends on getting hurt mate, and I’ve certainly ended up in A&E due to the ol’ A-L-E. Hopefully a speedy recovery mate
Glad to hear your on the mend fella. My dad always used to say "Keep it up and you'll be drinking your Sunday roast through a straw.". Never actually heard of it happening till now though...
Good decision to get checked out at A&E, always best to be on the safe side. Glad it's not a break or fracture and hopefully you'll be off the biff wagon soon mate.
Hi Gareth, glad you went and got checked out, at least you know there's no fractures. I was at the doctors yesterday for an injection in my left shoulder and i mentioned my hands as I was having problems with them, he organised an x Ray for me and i went today so i'm just waiting for the results. I can't fault my doctors or the hospital, they are really good with lovely staff. The only problem we have where we live is you can't get in to see a dentist. Anyway hope you're soon better and keep eating the soup. Now Gareth there's some reviews you could do. LOL
Yes, a huge up for the NHS, my good lady is a Staff Nurse and did 36 years service before she retired at 55. All the best fella and I'm glad you didn't do a tumble down the stairs when you filmed it. 👍
You took a nasty tumble, it was an unfortunate ending to a day of celebration for Dave’s Day. When you don’t feel quite right, listen to your instinct. Get better soon now you’re reassured. x
Glad you got yourself checked out, really pleased nothing is broken. Look after yourself, no more jumping off hills! Wishing you a speedy recovery, Stay safe :)

Looks alot better now 🙏just a heeling process now good news from hospital 👍🙏
Yes I'm happy
Wishing you a speedy recovery Gareth. I had one too many a few months back, fell asleep sitting on arm of my sofa fell off and ended up with broken collarbone bone poking out my shoulder 🙄
Bless you and two hours is a god send when ya in pain brother. Big love from Manchester ♥️🃏
8 hours for my last trip to A&E - not sure I had any blood left to give. X-rays are pretty quick in and out
Hope you feel better soon
Get well fast my friend ❤ sending much love ❤️ God bless you a speedy pain free recovery 🙏 😊
Hope you’re feeling better soon Gaz! Stay safe and times a great healer! You will be back to normal in no time!
That's the plan
Bless you 😢 your poor face ❤ get well soon ❤
I’m glad you’ve been the hospital mate. Wishing you a speedy recovery..

Glad to hear your on the mend fella. My dad always used to say "Keep it up and you'll be drinking your Sunday roast through a straw.". Never actually heard of it happening till now though...
Really glad you did an update, and hope you feel better soon man, we all need our dinner advice 😂 best of luck mate 🙏☘️☘️☘️
Thanks 👍
mate, how much have you made on RUclips out of falling over pissed?!
Fair Play!!!!!
Good news look forward to you being back in action👏👏
LOL
Cheers Sandra, you're welcome 😊
A very good decision to get checked over gareth, hope you are "spot on" asap, all the best!
Cheers pal
Thanks for the update, glad there is no serious damage, take care, enjoy the soup ❤
Thanks so much
Very glad that you went to hospital. You took one heck of tumble!
Yes I did
Yes, a huge up for the NHS, my good lady is a Staff Nurse and did 36 years service before she retired at 55. All the best fella and I'm glad you didn't do a tumble down the stairs when you filmed it. 👍
Wise move to get checked out. Wishing you all the best.
I hope so too!
You made a good decision it is important to get head injuries checked out.
