2nd year arch student. Try to do creative things like building stuff in Minecraft (because u probably don’t have rhino,Sketch up, archicad etc.) Further, ore do sketches, that will improve the way how you present ideas and u will get better to explain ur ideas with a sketch. And be am Allrounder not only architecture but also products like cars, furniture and kitchen equipment. Be Formable like water
The best piece of advice I got from my Mentor at the time was to visit the University and see what the students were doing but more importantly asking the admissions office if I could see examples of successful portfolios of students that were admitted. Being able to see what skills/creative endeavors other people my age were into helped inspire me but also being able to see the standard of quality needed to apply into these schools was important as well. Knowing that I was a entering architecture school among painters, drawers, scultpures, and photographers I was able to use my skills as a photoshop artist to help me apply but also express my studio projects through out Undergrad and eventually my Masters. Best of luck! It's a long journey but I'm excited for you! Thanks for leaving a comment and watching!
