In this video,there is a little mistake..There are two racks.fuel rack and vit rack.Fuel rack moves plunger and its use to change end of injection(fuel quantity change).VIt rack moves barrel and its use to change start of injection.(fuel injector timing change)

Barrel movement is in super VIT. Basic VIT can be achieved just by changing profile of plunger. You are talking about super VIT

VIT rack is to advance the timing not for quantity and fuel rack controls the quantity by shifting helical groove.

It is a suction valve not a non return valve. There is a difference between them here.
