      Thanks Cyndy I to think it’s very interesting I like trees that hang below the rim of the pot.

    Very nice tree. I have a Shohin Chinese Elm. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and have been doing bonsai for about 10 years, mostly deciduous, and belong to my local club. I'm curious about the branch that hangs down on the left hand side and like your thoughts if it is worth keeping as in my opinion it could be removed and the tree would still have a great shape. Not expecting you to cut it off but just would value your opinion.

      Michael you are correct it could be removed but for now I will wire it up you have a good eye feel free to ask as many questions as you like, I to have a few deciduous tree I love to see tham with out there leafs.

      @@jeffsbonsai7725 Thanks for the nice comment. I do think I have a good eye for bonsai, which is necessary in this hobby.
      I lost a bunjin Zelcova this year that was over 60 years old. It had not been well for several years (lost a significant branch two years ago). Not sure what killed it.

      @@mhylton when branches die it is usually something happens in the roots of the tree, the roots feed the tree it is the first place I look.
