  • The end of The Joker's Wild, a very entertaining Jack Barry/Dan Enright game show from the Seventies. This episode comes from a Los Angeles and Albuquerque edition of 1970s TV commercials I got hold of a decade ago and am finally getting around to digitizing/uploading. Enjoy, more to come!

This is from the first half of the first season. By no later than March of 1978, the fonts in the closing credits all turned red.

KHJ (KCAL) used to have Jack Barry's version?

The contestant shown here is Mark Gluckman, the show's biggest winner from the 77-78 season. He also competed, wearing a beard by this time, in the 1980 Million Dollar Tournament.

A long credit crawl mixed in with "Joker's Jive" can equal sadness. I still wonder what Jack Barry would think if I was a contestant and I was crying over "Joker's Jive".

I don’t know who Mark looks like now but when he competed in the Million Dollar Tournament and grew a beard, he looked like Chuck Norris.
