Damn if only I had a soothing voice talking about something I loved as a child to fall asleep to whatever will I- NO WAY NEW CHEESEY STUDIOS VIDEO DROPPED 30 SECONDS AGO
This set includes seven 2 x 4 bricks in dark brown, which is the most of that piece ever included in a set! Another set this wave even introduces 2 x 6 bricks in the color. Glad to see it become a more common color.
Dark brown is one of my favorite colors to offset the more common reddish brown. It contrasts a little better than the old brown color that I found in some of the 2nd hand collections that I have purchased. I've used both alternative browns in my custom viking ship, it works a lot better to simulate the wooden planks that the Knarr is built from and adds detail where there otherwise would be simply smooth surfaces in one color. Very nice to have such larger pieces of that color in a set!
You can tell he is a Minecraft veteran because he calls the crafting table a "Crafting Bench," which used to be the old name for the crafting table. Great work, Cheesey Studios!
I love the way they did the amethyst blocks! Makes them really unique. The only thing in this set I don't like a lot is the donkey. I just think that it looks way more like a horse. I'm actually surprised Lego hasn't made a mold for donkeys yet.
I fell out of Lego minecraft in 2021 even though for 3 years it was my favourite theme. But I decided to buy this set and WOW. Compared to the artificial bland *insert animal* houses this set blew me away and I loved every part of it. Easily my third favourite Minecraft set only behind the bedrock adventures and the village!
This set is great, from the new Husk, the return of the “Donkey” and Cave spider, to the cool looking amethyst all topped off in a landscape set in a biome that we don’t get too often in Lego
The SNOT cactus is one of the most interesting things I've seen in a mainstream LEGO set. Introduces kids to SNOT building in a simple way, sure, but those studs REALLY do give the impression of a spiky texture on the side, at least from a distance. I'm really impressed.
This set probably gave us the last classic Bats we're going to see, with their redesign on the horizon I imagine LEGO won't be far behind Lego's solution for the Amethyst Geodes is pretty cool, I wish we'd finally start getting translucent plates and tiles but the glittery purple bricks are SO cool
This is one of the best Minecraft sets ever made. The amount of stuff you get is crazy. It's one of the densest and most packed LEGO sets I've ever seen.

Lots of colors, lots of figures and a few play features. Seems like a fun set for minecraft enthusiasts, I personally like all the dark orange and the donkey a lot. Thanks for the video!
@@CheeseyStudios We have a very handsome dark orange fox standing on our large cupboard. It is one of the more interesting and subtle colors they've come up with for sure. Nice earthy tone.

As a MOC builder I don’t really buy many sets, but I always pick up a few of the new Minecraft sets every year. They’re always just so much fun and usually are quite worth the money unlike other themes. I will always stand by that Minecraft is one of LEGOs best current running themes.
It's the most LEGO of all of LEGO's themes, and I think that's awesome. Embracing the beauty of studs, 2x4's, and simple technique. These are just always such fun sets to build.
The amount of STUFF you get in this set is pretty crazy, and the build itself is so well put together too. Definitely my most anticipated set of the wave! (maybe beat out by the End Ship…)
after putting it together myself, despite being more excited for the end city ship, I think this is my favorite set of the wave. I always love seeing the mesa biome in lego, as it's a bit rare. I suppose that's fitting... Anywho it's nice to see them keeping on with the same minecart tracks. The fact that these are still compatible with sets even back to wave 1 is appreciated. Allow me to nitpick the donkey for a moment. still wish they made a distinct head mold with taller ears, as well as maybe using a different color like the dark tan you can find on the saddlebags. those should be medium nougat anyway since they're representing the chests. though with that mini rant over, I can't get enough of these sets that rely on things you'd find in game to keep things interesting. I may have stated before, but I don't much care for the 'macro mob' player base sets. I won't get into it here though. At the end of the day i think this is one of the stronger sets they've made recently and is for sure a happy purchse for me!
I'm glad you've gotten to experience this one for yourself already! It's so much fun, though I do agree a new donkey head mould could have made it even better.
The glimpse of that end ship set got me so excited, and the player skin shown on the box has gotta be one of the coolest ones Lego Minecraft has released
The Badlands biome has changed almost none since it was first introduced, but there's a charm to that. It's also one of my two go-to places for building a base. There is guaranteed always going to be Mineshafts under Badlands, so you get access to a lot of string, wood, and of course loot chests. Additionally, and I don't think this is common knowledge, the spawn of certain ores is flipped. You'll actually find plenty of near surface level gold in the biome.
Thank you for making these videos, they are just so good and this set really does call back to many of the older sets. (Even though I don’t like the new cactus.)
Great video! I'm really happy about the number of minifigures in the set, and about the fact that the set is more about terrain. The world is so important in game: no world, no player. I don't know about the other sets of the wave, I just can't wait to see you presenting them to me -and others- !

Never stop making these bro
Don't worry - lots more to come :)
Ive seen quite a few june sets at my local Walmart, such as the end ship
I cannot believe how early Wal-Mart was stocking these! A lovely surprise
0:08 just to let you know , I think the squids face print is upside down
I've never been able to quite get that one right lol
personally this set is my favourite one of the wave!
Right? There's so much to love with this one
Fantastic review, I really like the design for the amethyst geodes, also what are the brown grass stem pieces supposed to represent, a dead bush?
Yeah, those are dead bushes! I would have preferred the dark orange stems they usually use, but they must have changed it up so they wouldn't blend into the terrain as much.
@@CheeseyStudios But they also use the dark orange stem in a different Minecraft set with the wolves
A new Cheesey video day is a good day
Yay
I'm hoping we get more terrain based sets.
Agreed! I've missed them.
I saw this and I thought it was an expansion to your world. Still cool though (and you do already have a small bit)
🤣 Those are always on the 1st of each month! Eventually I'll make an episode adding all these new fun mobs and players to the world though
They should've added an armadillo to this set
Ooh, that would have been nice. Hopefully we'll get one in the January wave!
I literally thought this was a new episode of the Minecraft world😭
😂 Those are always on the first of each month! Hope you still enjoyed this though. It's a really fun set!
@@CheeseyStudios yeah it's a cool set, I'll definitely be watching for this one on shelves!
What, no return of Sand Red? Come on LEGO, we crave Sand Red so that Cheesey doesn't buy it all up in the aftermarket!
Bwahahahahaha
what are those giant Lego Minecraft islands in the back lol
Hmmmmm what a mystery indeed....
NGL, how amazing your badlands module is really makes this one feel less than adequate :') especially with your SNOT rails. Like...I know that logistically, this set is awesome especially for playability and the simplicity of the build, but far out hahahahaha your minecraft MOC really did a number on how much I can appreciate the official sets 🤣
Ha 🤣 Ah, it does make quite a difference going all out like that! Still grateful for the Minecraft theme though and all the cool parts and mobs it introduces. I couldn't do it without them!
The donkey looks like it's wearing horse armor.
Even though the donkey doesn't look like a donkey at all, and looks like a horse instead.
Yeah, unfortunately they've always recycled the same mould there. The donkey would certainly benefit from a unique one!
