As a follow-up to this video, I made a "Top 10" easier Scriabin prelude series. Here it is! ruclips.net/video/Sf47sVaL1Q4/видео.html What are your favorite Scriabin works? (Note at 2:14 note probably should've been Bb major, chromatic mediant, rather than G minor.)
Scriabin is a very paradoxical and versatile composer let alone "moody" as well but I love his preludes op.11, sonatas 1,2 and 3 , etudes op.8 and op. 42
Thanks for the shout out, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Scriabin had a really special magic to him sometimes, so I love introducing people to more of his music. If you like to geek out on theory stuff, one of my favorite guys made this cool video recently on a technique Scriabin sometimes uses: ruclips.net/video/ySWyg85r-5w/видео.html
really nice video! I love Scriabin and i really didn't know those preludes, except for the last one, but i liked them, specially the first one. My fav scriabin prelude is Op. 16 No. 1, specifically Igor Zhukov recording.
Thanks! Op. 16 no. 1 is amazing also…beautiful in that uniquely ethereal Scriabin way. I just listened to Zhukov-good stuff. You may also enjoy Horowitz’s recording of it! His cantabile and phrasing are killer.
Thanks for the tip on Op. 16 No. 1. I worked on it all April and just made a recording...and gave you a shout out at the beginning, haha: ruclips.net/video/HPGFox7s7Cw/видео.html P.S. The way Zhukov handles the inner voice in that piece is pretty amazing. I didn't quite emphasize it as much as he did, but his recording did help inform my performance!
Thanks! These are great. Funny you mention Op. 11 No. 21...I just published a video of it. ruclips.net/video/Sf47sVaL1Q4/видео.html I plan to release some of the others in the coming weeks also. :)

Wonderful music and performance. Thank you very much for sharing. Video. 👍
Thank you so much for featuring these delicate, intimate and poignant pieces-I’ve always loved these miniature masterpieces.🙏🏻
You are welcome, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
I never really play any of Scriabin's pieces or etudes before, but I particular enjoy the second one that you played. Great work!

Wunderschön und sehr sensibel gespielt ❤
Very beautiful, brought out the sheet music, going to practice tomorrow. Thank you.
Thanks, and that's awesome. Your comment makes me feel like I've completed my mission, at least in one small way...haha.

Same, this prelude is absolutely beautiful
No. 15 from op.11 and no.3 from op. 16 are also touching and accessible early Scriabin pieces.
Bravo! 👍👍👍
Very nice.
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
