Hey my friend, it's good to hear from you. I really enjoyed watching you do this rebuild. I don't see a lot of videos of people rewinding the coils. Impressive. You do really good work. Sounded clean! Thanks for some audio therapy.
Wire gauge depends on voice coil size and space available in magnet groove. Try to use same gauge as it was before. Thicker wire requires to be longer to get that resistance (ohms)
Using acetone. If its glued with epoxy then I pry it with flat head screwdriver very carefully. Starting to pry is the hardest part and you may damage it little bit.
It will work but it dries fast and will make winding process very hard. Where I live epoxy glue/resin is pretty cheap and it does not take much. I would suggest using it.
@@jessiewright5831 im doing a recone on my new american bass xfl subs the coils came lose from the spider and i got jb weld off amazon 2 tubes for like 10$ delivered so it's not expensive at all!
They are actually pretty good subs for small system's and u can get 2 of em new for $52 one for $25 of em 4 for $100 build a nice 1200 watt 4 12" sub build
I bet you that this work just increased the specs on this subwoofer . Great job 👍
Woah! I love repairs like that... DIY on another level!

Great job video was very educational keep up the good work sir 🇯🇲 🇺🇸 👍👍
What gauge wire you use and can we use it for any subwoofer?

How did you remove the spider from the basket without damaging it too badly?

@@AudioTherapy0 Thanks, I just took mine apart. What gauge copper wire did you use?
what type of glue are you using in the yellow tube?
It’s E-6000 but russian version
Use PPE when using e-6000. It is absolutely amazing glue, but it's incredibly damaging to kidneys, maybe more.
I just blew my square hifonics ima try this in near future but I torn my spider to bad tho
Little bit of sewing and a very small amount of glue will fix that spider. Good luck!
I’m glad that sub is fixed. Are you able to upload more cool speaker videos?
I have a lot of videos coming soon :)
So uhh will superglue work 😂 im broke and someone gave me a rockford TOD412 with a blown voice coil

Also epoxy is more resistant to high temperatures. Super glue will start bubbling when it gets hot.
I know these comments are old but jb weld epoxy resin on Amazon 7$ or even dollar general has it for like 6$
@xxg0t3mxx oh thank you I'll try it

Hi.Nice video guy.great stuff.one question.Do u bake the coil or hear it up for the resin to cure nice and solid or leave it as is.Thanks
I leave as is. But sometimes I use hot air gun to make it dry faster.
Nice Job 👍 kindly share the android version of the test App.
Awesome
You based in the uk?
No. Georgia (country)

You reconed a 30.00 sub?
In Soviet Russia: speaker recones YOU!
This was really cool, but why all the effort for such a crappy subwoofer?
