    Helpful for the bottom part of dash , thanks , all my dash lights work now , but for the price of them from Honda $8.99 Canadian , I just stole every one I could from scrap yard

    • @MCFIXIT
      @MCFIXIT  4 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for the view and comment. I recommend not stealing them but pulling them and buying them from the junkyard. They are typically pretty cheap there.
      Today, I noticed that my "low" bulb just went out so I will have to get another bulb. 🤦‍♂️

  • @mdbbox5660
    @mdbbox5660 6 месяцев назад +1

    You can replace just the bulb itself without going to Honda. Radio Shack used to sell them, but I've since switched to CEC 7219 miniature lamps. They're a little less than $10 for a pack of 10. Using these bulbs requires pulling the old bulb out of the tiny socket and then transferring the bulb "condom" to the new bulb and twisting the leads around the socket, but they last a good long while. Not too difficult once you've done a couple.

    • @MCFIXIT
      @MCFIXIT  3 года назад +1

      No, they are different voltage. Do not do that or it might burn up the bulb. also the end pieces are different colors due to the color of the switch.

    • @johnking398
      @johnking398 3 года назад

      @@MCFIXIT Yeah, he's right they are different voltages for each and different colors. Your dealership should have the correct ones. Mine took a few days to come in before I got them.

    Have you replaced the bulb for the HVAC gauge just above that panel? If so, can you make a video of that? Mine is so dim, it's virtually unreadable.

    • @MCFIXIT
      @MCFIXIT  2 года назад +1

      I have not, I’m sorry. Is it the actual display… like the black part? Or is the orangish glow part when your lights are on?

    • @dgriffin6074
      @dgriffin6074 2 года назад +1

      @@MCFIXIT It's the gauge face that appears illuminated, but it's so dim as to be useless. Shortly after I purchased the RL (used), a local radio shop installed a new radio. Could they have caused the problem? I don't recall how bright the HVAC display was before I had the Pioneer radio w backup camera installed. BTW, with the new Pioneer sound system it requires 4 different "button " presses to turn the radio off. As Uncle Eddie said in "Christmas Vacation:, " go figure Clark".

    • @MCFIXIT
      @MCFIXIT  2 года назад +1

      It might be. I’m not really certain on what they might have done. A lot of those radio places cut/bend wires badly to fit different sized head units in. I’m wondering if the control display is going bad. Also, that’s weird how many button presses it takes to turn off too.

    Those bulbs burn out a lot of times together. I'd recommend doing all of them at once if you can afford it at about $6-8 each. Then you should have to touch it for another decade!

    • @MCFIXIT
      @MCFIXIT  3 года назад +1

      Yes that can definitely happen. If you have the money to do all six then go for it! I doubt they would do a bulb discount, but yeah it will save you time in the future if you can do all six at once (2 center, 4 top/bottom).
