I know it is a cost issue for ANY of the auto manufacturers however if better moisture protection was used i.e. MIL- SPEC for the TIPM case connectors and other electrical points we would not have the vatiety of electrical issues as you have pointed out, in my case I have intermittent working of the overhead consul sliding doors and rear liftggate switches. Along with your cleaning of the corrosion from the male connector pins on the TIPM circuit board with the brass and nylon brushes I would also spray Deoxit into the gang connectors followed by squeezing Dieelectric Grease into the connectors to prevent moisture collection in the gang plugs. Also I changed out as many as I could the mini fuses with ones that have a build in "blown fuse indicator LEDs" this way if something is not working due to a blown fuse I can see it at a glance. Just wondering, did you use glue stick? I just received my X1-C but I didn't purchase the AMS option. My printer didn't come with any sort of glue stick.

You can also just pull the negative batt cable, turn the ignition to start and hold for 15 seconds. Done. Either way all you're doing is draining the capacitors in the electrical system which forces the stored memory to reset to default. This will also clear codes.

How long does that pilot light stay on? I've had it on for ten minutes but the flame hasn't extinguished yet. I can't turn my back on it until the pilot goes out.
