Nicely done! Great Job my wife goes as a nurse and me a red security shirt! I made my own shirt with a turtle neck the yellow berets from Joan Fabrics. Glued them on. Glued on my star trek badge. I made that to.
Why can’t I ever make anything that’s “hard but easy”??? I’m so jealous. I love the well-shot documentation of your process here. Beautiful results. Kind of hypnotic, too. The patch correction! And crazy about the universal length issue. Of course it ALL worked out.
I cut out a size 16 and budget 4 yards of 60" fabric. But I also add 7" at the hemline. I also add 2" to the sleeve length. Because of the way the pieces are laid out on the grainline, I can't imagine "less than 2 yards" made this dress - although she did cut a small size.
@@theknityorker I'm making one, but my pattern doesn't have very detailed instructions. So I'm trying to figure out if it's my cutting or the pattern XD
I’m working on this exact pattern and I’m so confused about how to finish the skirt- did you close the pleat in the front and back? Did you tack it down somehow to keep the “L” part flat? How do you keep the zipper in the back from showing? The instructions don’t cover this part at all 😅
Omg that was really weird yes!! I ended up tacking the L part to one of the seam allowances, the zipper does show a bit at the back. I think those parts are just not very well thought of.

Haha I can’t believe you’re still so invested in these
@@theknityorker must be your light
Cool 😀
How much fabric did it use up?
I think less than 2 yards

Did you sleeves end up shorter on one side of the pattern(like the back sleeve part was shorter)?
I don’t think so? But it definitely was weirdly constructed

@TechnicallyMyGalaxy mine didn’t either!! Are you using stretchy fabric? It’s so hard to cut!
@@theknityorker I'm using a smooth fabric that just kept sliding when I tried tracing the pattern
Ah! That might be part of the problem. You might want to try pinning the pattern or using pattern weights…

@@theknityorker thank you so much, I think thats what I’ll do. Your uniform is amazing! Great work :)
