DIY CATIO: Ideas for Connectivity 🐈

- Our cats are on the move; in this video you will see several ideas for connecting your Catio project to multiple destinations with cat bridges, platforms, steps and tunnels. Before your design takes shape; we recommend first thinking like your cat in creating a space, where do they like to spend time and so forth. Our fencing on the tunnels, platforms and bridges is 14g coated. The lumber is pressure treated, if you can afford cedar, this would be best. While we are not certified Catio builders our experience was learned through trial and error. We hope that this inspired to you create the catio design of your dreams.

I would love to have the space you have for the cats. Paradise! In the meantime I want to add a tunnel to a tower for mine. Any chance you have photos of your stairs. I keep pausing the video but it is blurry.

This is an awesome catio. You did a good job. Most are lovely I've seen, but they are so small they seem like cages.

Awesome structures! How do you wire around tree trunks so the cats can’t get out? That is my biggest fear - that my cat might end up outside the enclosure. Do you only let them out when you can stay to watch them ?
Good question! They go as they please, it is very safe. The wire is staples to the trees, etc. We will make a Catio Roofing ideas video in the near future.

Definitely inspiring! Just one question maybe silly , would you advise having wire cutters handy in case of needing emergency access ?

I actually prefer giving the cats a long run along the perimeter of an existing fence better than just a large enclosure (cage). The wire fencing comes in 25 and 50 fr. (2- 4ft lengths) anyway.
