Second, you just stepped into a HUGE rabbit hole because the level of musicianship in Japan is mind-blowing!🤯 About the outfits. When Lovebites was touring Europe as the opening act for Dragonforce Asami (singer) was interviewed by a French metal magazine and they asked her about the dresses. Her response was, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also, we are all small and the white and gold makes it easier to see us on stage." And they ARE smol, Haruna (drums) is only 4' 9", the tallest, Miyako (dark haired guitarist) is 5' 2". A little background info. Asami didn't even listen to heavy metal before auditioning for Lovebites. She trained as an R&B singer, even studied in the US for a little while. She also studied ballet until her teen years. Married and has at least one child I know of. Haruna formed the band along with the bassist Miho, they were both in a previous band called Destrose. She is also married but keeps her personal life private. On Insta and Twitter/X she posts about traveling to restaurants and sweets shops in Japan. Midori, blond guitarist, learned to play guitar in high school. During Covid she started going to the gym and fell in love with weightlifting and has become an amateur bodybuilder/fitness model and has competed in a few regional competitions. Miyako, has studied classical piano since she was 3 years old and taught herself how to play guitar in high school. Married and has two children. She loves Star Wars and named her small dog Whampa after a creature that was on an ice planet in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. On her down time, she likes to go fishing. Miho, formed the band with Haruna. Unfortunately she left the band amicably when her father died. She wanted to take some time off after his death and did not want the band to wait for her. The band held a world wide open audition for a replacement bassist and found... Fami, current bassist and is a legit phenomena on the bass. She has her own RUclips channel where she post vids of her from as far back as high school absolutely shredding on the bass. Song recommendations...All. Of. Them! Gacharic Spin - Mindset J-Pop/Rock band with metal elements DOLL$BOXX - Take My Chance This is a combination of Gacharic Spin and Unlucky Morpheus (listed later) straight up hard rock. TRiDENT - KICKASS Power trio hard rock band. Female lead: Unlucky Morpheus - CADAVER/REVADAC Goth metal band. They play the first song, CADAVER. Then play it backwards, note for note, REVADAC. They also have a heavy metal violinist, JILL. Yōsei Teikoku - Astral Dogma Lolita goth metal band. Babymetal - Megitsune This is a combo of J-Pop singing over metal with dance choreography. VERY popular in Japan. Broken By The Scream - KI・RA・I !! - Live in Tokyo. Watch the live version because you are not going to believe that those voices are coming out of those girls. Mixed bands: MAXIMUM THE HORMONE - A.L.I.E.N. They are VERY influential in Japan, Many bands would not exist if not for MTH. They use multiple time, key and genre changes in the same song. Buckle in because you are in for a wild ride with them. Galneryus - Angel Of Salvation A symphonic metal band. Bonus suggestion: Did you know India has metal bands? Yes, really. Look up Bloodywood and their song, Aaj (today). They sing in both Hindi and English.

Welcome from the Wolfpack, Lovebites fans around the world. I hope you will continue to explore these amazing ladies music, whatever you choose next you will not be disappointed. A little info, there will be much more from other Wolfpack members. Asami, the Vocalist, trained in Ballet before becoming a singer. Before Lovebites she was a R&B singer, and I think with her vocal power and control she could have be a great Blues singer. The Guitarist with the long black hair, Miyako trained as a classical pianist from age 3, The guitar is her 'Second' instrument which she only took up in her late teens, teaching herself with the aid of books on the subject. She plays piano on several Lovebites songs and sometimes drops short classical piano recitals into a concert. Recommendations for further listening. Thunder Vengeance, MDO, We The United, Winds of Transylvania (written for a crazy Japanese Anime series, Vlad Love) Edge of the World, Frozen Serenade, Swan Song with Chopin piano introduction, Epilogue. I have been a metal fan since it all kicked off in the late 60's, and I think Lovebites are one of the best bands I have ever heard. They take a great deal of influence from the British and European metal bands of the 70's/80's/90's. Asami has been described by some as a female Bruce Dickinson (Vocalist with Iron Maiden) and Miho the co founder and bassist up until she left in late 2021 is a big Steve Harris fan (Bass with Iron Maiden) Some of Miyako's guitar solo's have a strong Gary Moore vib, and she has recorded a piano transcription of his number The Loner. I am going to see them play live in London in June, a gig that kicks off a number of dates around Europe. They make their USA debut in September. Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about them: The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album came out in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of DVD/Blu-ray live recordings. Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023. This year in June LOVEBITES‘ first world tour starts in Europe. In September they will play their biggest headline show ever in Tokyo. About your questions about guitars, the redhaired girl, Miho, is the bassist and supports the low rhythm together with the drummer (Haruna). The two guitarists combine lead and rhythm guitars, in the section you asked for both harmonize guitars playing together the same part. Usually, in Lovebites live videos, the sound editor puts Midori (blonde) in the left channel and Miyako (brunette) on the right channel, so you can diferenciate both guitars using headphones.

Thank you for listening to my / our recommendation. I'm glad you liked it. Lovebites are currently one of my favorite bands. Not just because their cute, but because their music and and musicianship is awesome. Yes, most of their music is really fast paced, but they also have a few songs that are a bit slower, like "Epilogue" and "Edge of the World". These really showcase Asami's voice and also show some different talents of the instrumentalists. If you'd like to see a real demonstration of one of Miyako's other talents, I also recommend the song "Swan Song" in the version that has the Chopin intro. I was so happy that they will play in Germany in June, but for health reasons I won't be able to go 😢. By the way: no need to apologize for pausing. We are here to watch your reaction and not just the original video.

Asami is a great singer who has a long career of singing backing vocals for other artists. The oldest video I’ve seen of her is from Christmas 2011 where she was singing at Budokan for a group called Uverworld. Unfortunately, she can be a bit inconsistent in her breath support. Overall, I love Asami more for her state presence, charisma, and crowd interaction plus her lyrical writing ability.
After Nightwish and Epica, there is no better next step into metal than Lovebites. They did their first live performances in more than two years in summer of 2023, with their new bassist Fami. During the section of the guitar leads that you're talking about where all three (guitarists Miyako and Midori, and bassist Miho) are standing together at the front of the stage, Miyako ("brown guitar girl") and Midori ("pony-tail girl") are actually doing the same thing, but in harmony, with each playing the same pattern but on different notes.

Even white costumes can be dyed in many colors with colored lighting. LOVEBITES' songs incorporate various metal genres, and the lyrics and songs have many different aspects, so the white costume makes sense. P.S. The main principles of the band presented by Miho, the founder and first bassist of LOVEBITES, are as follows. ①Heavy metal (basic policy) ②All English lyrics (strategy for global expansion) ③White costumes (Most metal bands wear black costumes, and if these short girls wore black costumes, they would be hidden, so they wear white costumes to contrast and stand out.) ④High heels (to compensate for short height) Miho also thought about the visual effects on stage. @@BessyQ Visual Kei has so many subgenres. The heaviest is JILUKA, Deviloof and Dir en Grey. Then you have Xanvala. And a funny band called BabyKingdom.... Ohh there is so many.. I have a site with lots of J-rock to J-punk. Google Search "Rokku-Sokuho" and you have tons of bands to explore.
Amazing! LOVEBITES’s drummer is really rocking those Drums! Very impressive. I really enjoyed those Bass riffs. They were a pleasant surprise. It would be awesome if you did a reaction video on Babymetal :) they recently collaborated with F.Hero and Bodyslam on a song called Leave It All Behind. Second, you just stepped into a HUGE rabbit hole because the level of musicianship in Japan is mind-blowing!🤯
About the outfits. When Lovebites was touring Europe as the opening act for Dragonforce Asami (singer) was interviewed by a French metal magazine and they asked her about the dresses. Her response was, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also, we are all small and the white and gold makes it easier to see us on stage." And they ARE smol, Haruna (drums) is only 4' 9", the tallest, Miyako (dark haired guitarist) is 5' 2".
A little background info.
Asami didn't even listen to heavy metal before auditioning for Lovebites. She trained as an R&B singer, even studied in the US for a little while. She also studied ballet until her teen years. Married and has at least one child I know of.
Haruna formed the band along with the bassist Miho, they were both in a previous band called Destrose. She is also married but keeps her personal life private. On Insta and Twitter/X she posts about traveling to restaurants and sweets shops in Japan.
Midori, blond guitarist, learned to play guitar in high school. During Covid she started going to the gym and fell in love with weightlifting and has become an amateur bodybuilder/fitness model and has competed in a few regional competitions.
Miyako, has studied classical piano since she was 3 years old and taught herself how to play guitar in high school. Married and has two children. She loves Star Wars and named her small dog Whampa after a creature that was on an ice planet in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. On her down time, she likes to go fishing.
Miho, formed the band with Haruna. Unfortunately she left the band amicably when her father died. She wanted to take some time off after his death and did not want the band to wait for her. The band held a world wide open audition for a replacement bassist and found...
Fami, current bassist and is a legit phenomena on the bass. She has her own RUclips channel where she post vids of her from as far back as high school absolutely shredding on the bass.

Welcome from the Wolfpack, Lovebites fans around the world. I hope you will continue to explore these amazing ladies music, whatever you choose next you will not be disappointed. A little info, there will be much more from other Wolfpack members. Asami, the Vocalist, trained in Ballet before becoming a singer. Before Lovebites she was a R&B singer, and I think with her vocal power and control she could have be a great Blues singer. The Guitarist with the long black hair, Miyako trained as a classical pianist from age 3, The guitar is her 'Second' instrument which she only took up in her late teens, teaching herself with the aid of books on the subject. She plays piano on several Lovebites songs and sometimes drops short classical piano recitals into a concert.
Recommendations for further listening. Thunder Vengeance, MDO, We The United, Winds of Transylvania (written for a crazy Japanese Anime series, Vlad Love) Edge of the World, Frozen Serenade, Swan Song with Chopin piano introduction, Epilogue.
I have been a metal fan since it all kicked off in the late 60's, and I think Lovebites are one of the best bands I have ever heard. They take a great deal of influence from the British and European metal bands of the 70's/80's/90's. Asami has been described by some as a female Bruce Dickinson (Vocalist with Iron Maiden) and Miho the co founder and bassist up until she left in late 2021 is a big Steve Harris fan (Bass with Iron Maiden) Some of Miyako's guitar solo's have a strong Gary Moore vib, and she has recorded a piano transcription of his number The Loner.
I am going to see them play live in London in June, a gig that kicks off a number of dates around Europe. They make their USA debut in September.

Here some information about them:
The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album came out in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of DVD/Blu-ray live recordings.
Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023.
This year in June LOVEBITES‘ first world tour starts in Europe. In September they will play their biggest headline show ever in Tokyo. After that LOVEBITES will have their US debut …

She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd

The two guitarists combine lead and rhythm guitars, in the section you asked for both harmonize guitars playing together the same part. Usually, in Lovebites live videos, the sound editor puts Midori (blonde) in the left channel and Miyako (brunette) on the right channel, so you can diferenciate both guitars using headphones.
That makes a lot of sense, I thought I did hear guitar coming from two sides of my earphones but it was not too clear since my earphones were very meh lol.

Thank you for listening to my / our recommendation. I'm glad you liked it. Lovebites are currently one of my favorite bands. Not just because their cute, but because their music and and musicianship is awesome. Yes, most of their music is really fast paced, but they also have a few songs that are a bit slower, like "Epilogue" and "Edge of the World". These really showcase Asami's voice and also show some different talents of the instrumentalists. If you'd like to see a real demonstration of one of Miyako's other talents, I also recommend the song "Swan Song" in the version that has the Chopin intro. I was so happy that they will play in Germany in June, but for health reasons I won't be able to go 😢. By the way: no need to apologize for pausing. We are here to watch your reaction and not just the original video.
PS: This song is very power metalesque but they actually blend all sorts of metal styles.

Asami is a great singer who has a long career of singing backing vocals for other artists. The oldest video I’ve seen of her is from Christmas 2011 where she was singing at Budokan for a group called Uverworld. Unfortunately, she can be a bit inconsistent in her breath support. Overall, I love Asami more for her state presence, charisma, and crowd interaction plus her lyrical writing ability.
