How many of the Golden Arrow buses have been released in proportion to the stranded commuters. while the escort for the GA buses is welcomed, its unsettling that the CPT govt., both local and provincial, continues to fail the commuters by not providing alternative modes of transport - esp. yesterday when their negotiations presented this chaos we are in now. The two spheres should have cooperated, and/ cooperate, (presuming that National is being useless as it usually is). I also bet, if the population was white all kinds of alternatives would have been exhausted (even helicopters would have been released) - a politics we don't want to talk about. As for SANTACO and all taxi owners, your right to strike is fine but don't torture alternative modes. Their tantrums to bend the law must also not be entertained by govt.
Well, the DA is politicking and they do not care about those who suffer as a result. They would rather point at taxi association and call them the bad guys in this case. You also have citizens who are completely fragmented and divided in opinions and experiences. You can see on the comments section here that majority are cheerleaders for the DA, and those are the same people who have never taken public transport in their entire lives, so what do they care? Nothing changes in SA, just a different day.
ehh do you even know about the MYCITY bus plan that the CPT govt put in place that would have gone to all the spots that does not have transport, but then the taxi's (SANTACO) threated them with a taxi war (violence).
WHY DID COCT WAIT TILL JUST BEFORE WOMENS DAY EVENTS WITHIN THE CITY, TO IMPOUND TAXIS? KNOWING WELL THAT THERE'S HUGE EVENTS WILL TAKE PLACE..VENUES ARE BOOKED AND PAID MILLIONS FOR. HUNDREDS OF TAXIS AND BUSSES ARE BOOKED AND PAID FOR TOO..😢😢

The N2 has a specifically clear TAXI that goes from 5-9am in the morning
They do on the N2 but has r stopped them from breaking the law, they just swerve onto theft then stop without warning on the highway to drop off some passengers it's madness with these taxis.
If they were white they'd just get into their cars and drive home, haibo it's not white people's fault that working blacks cant buy cars.
What? So the savages can burn them?
ehh do you even know about the MYCITY bus plan that the CPT govt put in place that would have gone to all the spots that does not have transport, but then the taxi's (SANTACO) threated them with a taxi war (violence).
@@advancedsettings9699 you fail to understand and that's not my problem but yours
aww, so cute guys. the city condemns the violence. everything can go back to normal now.
We are definately voting this guy out.
WHY DID COCT WAIT TILL JUST BEFORE WOMENS DAY EVENTS WITHIN THE CITY, TO IMPOUND TAXIS? KNOWING WELL THAT THERE'S HUGE EVENTS WILL TAKE PLACE..VENUES ARE BOOKED AND PAID MILLIONS FOR. HUNDREDS OF TAXIS AND BUSSES ARE BOOKED AND PAID FOR TOO..😢😢
Obey the law, pay the fine and get back on the road , driving properly.
then when? there are always events happening every day. Tough shit
How are you trying to help the stranded commuters when you know full well that only taxis operating can solve that problem? This mayor guy and JP couldn't care less about the multitudes having to walk hours home or sleep in the CBD for the night, most of whom are obviously black. Western Cape government continues to and has always failed our people and the masses!!!
We are the best province in the country. Tell taxi drivers to drive safely and there will be no problems.
I agree with you! in the end, it's the commuters who suffer. What is the province doing to help stranded commuters?
This is not about any law, this is about bullying the taxi owners and extorting them, full stop. Let them burn the entire city down if they have to, apartheid is gone and we will never again be bullied by these pink settlers again. Sorry.
Why provide alternatives when it will just get burnt by savages?
@@advancedsettings9699 who are savages?
All i hear is the law ......there must be a balance if they stike for 2 months then we will see you change you tune if fines dont work try direct arresting now thats thought stop blaming the taxi drivers when you fail to do your jobs and please dont arrest them close to the rank that will be plain stupidity like i said balance from a x saps member
👨🏿💻🍿
With the alliance of BRICS SA needs the Russian army to come to assist SA to train our police force and the SA army to restore and create law and order in SA which is absolutely no existent nor does SA ANC ruling parties alliances have the knowledge, skill or will to have a functional law and order system ⁉️🤷🏼♀️
You think that Putin is interested in teaching Mazibuko how to hold a gun?
you are putting commuters at rist
too many inpounding
you are stealing from the industry
stop inpounding till you find a solution, weman are arriving late in township from work during loadsheding easy easy
DA members are without shame, these nice gentlemen protected your malls like content little lap dogs when we sought to ransack this country. Don't you remember? Won't you feel for them like they did for you??☺️
The only reason some of them helped defend the malls was because they needed passengers to be employed so that they could get paid through taxi fares. No employed passengers means no people to transport to work. It was never about doing it for the greater good.
Also most taxi drivers are anything but gentlemen
@@KevinS-bz6xt fair point but they still did it though, if I were you I wouldn't then make it so they have nothing to lose.
@@KevinS-bz6xtthey did it for the greater good. Don't you understand your words?
Get rid of the lawlessness that plagues this country
Very good, this DA needs to learn that the people are the boss, not the bully boere 😂😂😂
Spoken like a true reprobate.
Lawlessness and anarchy is your culture.
We "the people" approve of the DA-led government's actions.
@@ash9744 then let's wait and see the end, the people will prevail.
I am "the people" and I am prevailing😂😂😂
This is the EFF''s work. Commuters should remember that.
Will there be any justice for the violence committed? Lives are in danger, lives were taken. Who will pay for this? If no one is held responsible for the impact of the violence, this behavior will continue, every time
Well done
