Do you think this punishment fits the crime? Have you ever been victim to unfair \ corrupt policing? Its terrible. If a cop says he saw you not wearing a seat belt, how do you prove him wrong? His word against yours, so you now have to get your vehicle impounded then go fight in court and spend your time there and you just losing all the way. Even if you win the case you lost time and energy. You even stand a chance to lose the case... This is opening up another surface area that citizens will need to protect themselves from and has already costed the country in economic damage far more than it has set out to gain.

I lived in Durban during the July 2021 riots and remember that our police stood back and watched whilst shopping centers were looted and burned. For six years I've had to increase speed on the n2 outbound in the morning as they physically force you to move over risking everyone's lives at the speed they drive. I live near to the main road and no noise pollution it feels like I'm on holiday in the mountains of knysna. Voetsek taxis I'm going to move to a country where they don't have this taxis.
