When she made that first cut , the top 20 semifinalists, and when she started talking, I was like "oh my gosh, give her the crown. We have a winner already." Miss South Africa was a league of her own. I mean this girl has the charisma, she's authentic and very down to earth. She's relatable... a true inspiration. The real fight that night was for the first runner up title. It should have been Miss Mexico. Sofia was also one genuine girl. Congratulations girls!

I don't follow the competition but when i saw her face and that she had won i was like...huh, so she won, what's so special about her? So i've been bingewatching videos and i am girlcrushing on her SO HARD now! She is stunning, she is smart, her evening gown looks amazing, he walk is sultry, I love the way she speaks with so much confidence, i love everything she stands for and everything about her!

I can remember quite a few years ago when the first black Miss South Africa was crowned. It was a huge deal at the time. Now a black Miss South Africa is the second Miss Universe from South Africa in three years. I won't be surprised when they continue to produce finalists in the years to come.
She's one of the best Miss Universe like Queen Cat. Love how the organization is seeking more of the true strengths and beauty of what a Miss Universe is.
Next year, only competing in the Philippines and South Africa. Only two countries competing.

My best friend from Nigeria was set ablaze and killed by black South Africans. Many black people from your country have been taught by some folks to hate their fellow blacks. White people from any country don't hate their own skin and so do Asians.

I can tell you now for free...that lawlessness that took place a couple of months ago in very few areas of the country does not reflect the general sentiment of South Africans towards black people from our beloved continent. So slow down with that narrative you’re pushing and the inaccurate history lecture.
We have not forgotten the help we received from our brothers and sisters...but ultimately we as South African people liberated ourselves and we continue to liberate ourselves from from a number of other situations. Your people should stop grandstanding! Focus on why young and skilled Nigerians keep emigrating in numbers, and not on what SA is or isn’t doing.
You and I can spend the whole day being sensational about who killed who and who hurt another the most from our respective countries...cause we have stats as well and daily occurrences affecting our loved ones. All of that doesn’t help anyone.

Some of us have neighbours, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances from many African countries (including Nigerians) who we love and respect as we would our countryfolk. I read thoroughly what you wrote, if you had read what I wrote to you appropriately, you would know that there was never an exaggerated statement and there wasn't any hyperbole in any of my statements. However, when we rejoice it is actually good we point out where we were treated badly by those we call our brothers and sisters.
You talked about bad blood, it's a proven fact that many black South Africans don't like black foreigners in South Africa. I have been following Sir. Julius Malema for years and he has said that . Do know that none of we Nigerians hate our fellow black people, that was why we opened our border for other African countries to reach our shores freely which South Africa will never do for Nigerians or some other African countries . You talked about emigration, that has been in existence since time immemorial so let's not talk about it. South Africans in their numbers do emigrate to other countries. Finally, if you are not part of those people who fuel hate amongst black people in Africa then I appreciate you for that. I really hope things get better with what we see and learn from in today's modern world.

There’s no need for me to point out the scale of violence and intolerance meted on other Africans (including Nigerians) by Nigerians...we don’t use every unrelated media content (like you’re doing with Zozibini’s Miss Universe performance to us) to point out how pissed off we are with Nigerians, and go on to make generalized claims that we can’t even backup. We are not like that.
I’ve also noticed that people on social media will not acknowledge unfortunate things about their countries. Especially when they’re the first ones to point out what is wrong with others. That is counter productive AF.
My point in all of this is, don’t make it as if South Africa has monopoly on violence in the continent. We admit that we have our faults and we are working on it.
