With respect to Ray, we watch many of his street videos although sometimes they are not so clear. Is it just my ignorance or is there something anyone else feels wasn't covered here? From what the video title suggests, the solution to be sure of having our prayers heard doesn't seem to be clearly addressed. How can we pray & be much surer to have God hear our prayers-without sin in us -if we are ALL sinners?(both Christian & non-Christian)
@@Sean-ng4eu If you are born again then God doesn't see your sins because Jesus paid the price to cover your sins. Because of this God hears your prayers. If you are not born again then you are still in your sins.

God bless! I'm going downtown in NYC to preach/evangelize this evening, as I usually do on Fri/Sat evenings, especially in the warmer months when more people are out and about. Please pray for my safety as some people get aggressive, but my city needs Jesus badly! Also please pray that the Lord helps me to say what people need to hear, since people have different objections to Christianity! I use a combination of scientific and historical apologetics, as well as morality (Ray's approach), and a bit of cultural/political aspects to get people interested. Most people just walk by and ignore as usual with street preachers, but once in a while they'll come up to me and make a comment or ask a question, then I engage them. God willing at least 1 person will understand the gospel and take it to heart, and I pray the same for you and those who you'll be evangelizing to! God bless :)

How did people manage before Jesus was around? In fact.. how did people manage before Christianity was around? You realise there were times where every living human believed in gods like Ra, Zeus, Odin and so on.. and nobody had ever even heard about your god? You confidently think that most of humanity that came before you got it wrong. But obviously the same couldnt possibly be true for you. They believed in their gods just as strongly as you do in yours. They were wrong. Likely, so are you.

If you someone is Christian they have been born again. The matter is if they are Christian. People can call themselves whatever they want. It doesn't make it a reality.
Christians aren’t sinless but they DO sin less, it’s a process, it’s the work of the Holy Spirit in each of us who’ve accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior and turned from the obvious sins we were living in, it’s sanctification through Christ Jesus! We are a work in progress, still we must resist sin and temptation, we must grow in faith as we read the word of God everyday ❤

When my prayers aren't answered by God the way I expect, it is not always a case of unconfessed sin. It may be because a) God has other and better plans, b) God wants me to wait in order to test my faith and character, c) what I want may not be beneficial for me in the long run, so He says "no".

It was taught by the Jews that before the favor of God is extended to the sinner, he must first repent. In their view, repentance is a work which men are to accomplish of themselves, by which to earn the favor of heaven. And it was this thought that moved the Pharisees to exclaim in astonishment and anger, “This man receiveth sinners.” According to their ideas he should permit to approach him those only who had repented of their sins. But Jesus teaches that salvation does not come through our seeking after God, but through God's seeking after us. Repentance is born in the heart by beholding the love of Christ, who gave his life to save the sinner. It is the goodness of God, manifested in Christ, that softens the heart. It is the virtue that goes forth from Jesus that inspires the purpose of the soul to turn away from sin. We do not repent in order that God may love us, but God reveals his love to us that we may repent. Thus repentance is not the ground of God's love toward us, but the fruit of that love.
Acts 3:19 corresponds to Acts 2:38, it's the same command. "Repent" because you acknowledge your sin by turning to Him, "...that your sins maybe be wiped out" corresponds to being baptized in Jesus' name FOR the REMISSION of sin, "...that times of refreshing may come from the Lord." is receiving the Holy Spirit like they did on the day of Pentecost. Praying in the Spirit in an unknown tongue is incredibly refreshing. I'm just saying seek for everything the Word of God tells you you can have. Don't just stop at confession and repentance, go all the way. And you'll see that pattern all the way through the book of ACTS as well in the epistles like Titus 3:5 "...He saved us through the washing of rebirth (baptism) and renewal by the Holy Spirit (infilling), whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior (the one who bought it for us).
What kind of laws are the 10 commandments? Are they like legal statutes? For example if we get caught repeatedly driving without a license a judge may jail us as a punishment or are they like the law of gravity? You don't go before a judge for punishment if you jump out of a plane without a parachute. Violating the law of gravity has its own natural consequences. Which would you say 10 commandments are like?
I wonder if people that have family members like mother, father & sister who believe In Christ, just don’t want to because you cannot continue to live the life/life style. Sex, drinking and po*n, etc. So I feel a large amount continue in their lifestyle’s because that is easier.

He didn't judge Him. He used the law, lawfully. You don't need a Savior when you feel you've done nothing worthy of hell. I think you should examine why you feel her was being judgemental. Perhaps you have sin in your heart still that you feel attacked over? Ray evangelizes exactly how Jesus did.

My friend's kid had brain cancer and he had the entire congregation at church praying over him and God's response was NO.

I wonder if people that have family members like mother, father & sister who believe In Christ, just don’t want to because you cannot continue to live the life/life style. Sex, drinking and po*n, etc. So I feel a large amount continue in their lifestyle’s because that is easier.

What do you mean God wont hear you? Do you mean if you're not trusting in God or are you saying God will only hear your prayers if you're "good enough"?

He didn't judge Him. He used the law, lawfully. You don't need a Savior when you feel you've done nothing worthy of hell. I think you should examine why you feel her was being judgemental. Perhaps you have sin in your heart still that you feel attacked over? Ray evangelizes exactly how Jesus did.

Acts 3:19: “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, THAT YOUR SINS MAY BE BLOTTED OUT…” (Note: this is “sins,” not the “sin” of unbelief).
Acts 3:26: “Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, IN TURNING AWAY EVERY ONE OF YOU FROM HIS INIQUITIES.” (Again, “Iniquities” is plural. Not the singular sin of unbelief).

Notice how it says to repent and believe the Gospel? What is the Gospel? That God sent his Son Jesus to Earth to lead people into eternal life. Jesus also tells people to "go and sin no more." Jesus also died on the cross in our place for our sins, and he rose again on the 3rd day, thereby having overcome sin and death.
In the historical account of Acts, Peter also told people to repent and be baptized for the remission of their sins. So while baptism isn't necessary for salvation, to believe in the Gospel means to change your mind about sin and accept what Jesus did for you, and to call upon Him as your Lord and Savior.
To live a redeemed life entails a continuous lifestyle of repentance, because we will still fail God just like Peter did when he denied Jesus 3 times even after Jesus Himself said beforehand that he would.
