AWVR 1206-2 SD40-2 Platform locomotive is known as the 1206 dummy locomotive which is a NPC locomotive for filming the movie, it used to be scraped, now its built for filming, AWVR train at the first part of the video is NOT at storage, the movie was still being filmed.
Can someone tell me about the cab of 1206? the front windows are angled to a point in front when all the other locomotives i have seen are flat. Why is that?
1206 originally have a normal flat SD40 cab like 7375 and 7346 but the film production modified the cab with the 4 windows on the side and later the 2 triangle windows on the front for easy filming shots and to make it look better for the film. The unit does still retain its unique cab today as is still in regular service with Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroading number 6353 and 6354

Actually, 777 and 767 have an angle there too. No real story here I think, just different manufacturers doing things differently.
