It’s unlikely anyone, perhaps a scapegoat will be sent to prison. The problem is even now, reams of evidence is being generated that a criminal court will have to spend years sifting through. Women in leadership roles. Not a good idea, ever. The tears of Vennels are not at all unusual. It has a lot to do with the way parents treat female children. The little princesses often find it difficult to deal with the real world.
Women are too emotionally unstable. Just criticize a woman and all she'll do is either cry for sympathy or throw labels at you instead of making a well reasoned argument.

I remember an ex fighter pilot discussing that female pilot's death. He described her as adequate but certainly not next or near the skill level to land and take off from carriers. He pointed out that every year he had to refuse male pilots who would never achieve the skill level to be a navy pilot. A lot of these men would have been far more qualified than that poor woman who was killed, yet it would have broken every safety protocol to promote them to carrier duty.

Bottom line is that CEO is the most common "occupation" for diagnosed psychopaths. Doctor is second😮! It's clearly not absolutely necessary to register highly on the psychopathy scale to successfully run a major commercial company, but it undoubtedly helps. Don't forget Lyn Homer, head of HMRC. Under her watch the organisation couldn't even answer routine telephone enquiries within acceptable timeframes. Very capable of trotting out the lamest of excuses whenever challenged by Parliamentary committees and Margaret Hodge must have been sick of the sight of her.
Your assessment of the young lady that died trying to land on the carrier is 100% correct. Promotion without merit will cause dysfunction but in some occupations people can get killed. Airline and fighter pilots bring good examples.
All that matters in big business is that the right boxes are ticked. This is why none of these organisations are as good as they once were and our regard and respect for them is in the bin.
What do you expect. Crocodile tears in the corporate world often represent the behaviour of a psychopath. Vennells is just as ruthless as the lawyers in the room. Empathy and moral consideration are never bargaining chips. You could apply that to all of the British Establishment.
Her performance reminded me of the legendary “Crystal Methodist” who ran the Co op Bank for a while back in 2013. Paul Flowers was appointed by Ed Milliband to a couple of significant roles in politics etc whilst also being a non exec director at Co op. About the same time as a £1.5 billion hole in the accounting was exposed. Flowers also ended up giving evidence on camera to a public inquiry and that also produced some newsworthy footage as it became apparent that he had barely any understanding of the bank or even banking as an industry. Identity politics makes fools of everyone in the end.
Over the last few decades there have been more and more women entering public office and promoted into decision making roles. Over the same time we have seen a reduction in common sense decision making, and a massive rise in political correctness. It is an interesting observation 😉

It will be very interesting to see her punishment if any at all. Everything will be done to keep her out of prison, because some Dr will say "she's too ill to go to prison" the "compensation is sufficient" and she has "shown great remorse" so therefore a female in charge of the Post Office at the time of the greatest miscarriage of justice in the history of the UK can be left out of the history books.
Hanging reintroduced just in this case.
thats the problem, these kind of people in power are never accountable. just look at the hillsborough tragedy. 97 people were unlawfully killed that day yet 1 successful prosecution. a health and safety officer was fined a few thousand pounds! a few quid for 97 peoples lives. and still there are police who that day lied changed statements made people change statements MPs as well media who reported lies . Thatcher’s government, massive cover up. people who just didnt or couldn’t be bothered to do their job right. a massive inquiry into the tragedy found all this out. sometimes the truth is all you get.

Quite a few women were at the top of the PO ashamed when you research how some of them spoke or dealt with postmaster/subs
She cared very deeply about the post office and it’s employees and cried when it was insinuated that she didn’t. The weeping she did was worthy of an Oscar ....well rehearsed..
The snivelling was disgraceful !
There’s no doubt about it. Meritocracy is a superior way to run a business, institution or entire country. DEI may look better, it may allow activists to dominate culture production, but it certainly is inferior at running things
And that's why the civil rights act was introduced, because certain people who call meritocracy now didn't want it in the past.
It's not shamed vennells enough to give her 3 million pounds bonus back

Please don't judge us all by the standards of Paula Venells. But it is true that Diversity Hires never work.
Yes, I'm a woman too and don't want to be judged by the rotten standards of Paula Venella! Woman are not all the same, just as men are not all the same. Diversity hires of any kind rarely, if ever, end well because that person is very rarely up to the job. To me it is obvious and perhaps diversity hiring is one of the main reasons why our public services and infrastructure fail so badly and we're experiencing "Broken Britain". People should be hired and promoted on the basis of their merits and ability to do the job. Nothing else matters.
We need to become a a genuine meritocracy.
