Taking these steps is one way we can hope to achieve gender parity in leadership.
She's completely missed the forest for the trees. Executive level positions aren't just handed out based on quotas (at least not in productive, well run companies). You have to EARN them, and most women don't want to do the 60+ hour weeks continuously for many years needed to get there.
As I'm sure it has been said many, many times. Women in positions of leadership can be a good thing where they meet the requirements of the field/position. I don't think anyone reasonable will dispute that. Confidence is certainly an issue, but I wouldn't say that it's just women who need it. I think many people need confidence gains regardless of their gender. - My estimation is that men are generally more assertive and confident than women in this area, coupled with women generally being uninterested in leadership roles. McGraw mentions that women are expected to fulfil more requirements than men, but I wonder if that's because more risk would be taken if they were to have certain responsibilities as a leader, given her claim. - I heard something about California passing a law that mandated a certain percentage of every company's board being women, which sounds insulting to me - as if to say they need their hands held instead of infusing within them a sense of strength or an assertive work ethic. Nevermind what risks it could pose having potentially unqualified people in high-level positions, thereby reducing the effectiveness of the discourse and where it could lead any given company. Now, if they turned out to be qualified, then great. McGraw points out that diversified staff increases effectiveness by (I believe) 21%? I don't think that just simply having a more diverse group of people inherently makes them better off. I sincerely hope she wasn't trying to make that point.
Yeah, she didn't cite any source or study on that, so it's probably part of the 83% of statistics that are made up on the spot :P There are benefits that could come from having a diverse leadership group, but those are probably exceeded by the cost of forcing in less qualified people just to achieve diversity quotas. Competence needs to be the main requirement, and diversity a secondary consideration.

simple answer that was, is, and always will remain basically. women can have kids. men cannot. therefore, if you look at 2 identical workers and u want to minimize risk as an employer, ignoring all other potential results like better diversity, etc etc , the male should always be chosen. simple as that. its not some kind of mystery as to why. you can surely argue that benefits outweigh those risks but thats the pt. you HAVE TO argue/demonstrate that to be case and have someone care+believe/agree with you.

She's completely missed the forest for the trees. Executive level positions aren't just handed out based on quotas (at least not in productive, well run companies). You have to EARN them, and most women don't want to do the 60+ hour weeks continuously for many years needed to get there.
cause yall trap us in abusive relationships and expect us to raise the kids alone
Agree with your opinion
lets keep it that way.
Probably cause I keep getting physically spanked at work. Doesn’t make we want to go.
I'm sorry about that.R u married or anything. If this still happens u should leave the job or tell ur family
Yes more women in leadership ❤☀️🌙
It is not about quantity it is about quality. Everyone knows this. We need more women construction workers.
Have you got a husband and family?...
Thought not!!
That is the most important thing! For me, true fulfillment is had in the family, not the office.
I did this topic for my Honours Degree. The attacks I got people saying that I am a women's activist. Feminism is deep yoh
You are
More diverse bs. Go home and make bread.
Lmaooo
Haha lol and ur a woman saying this too. R u a housewife
Its all part of the great reset. Make everything weaker. Destroy to build back better.

My estimation is that men are generally more assertive and confident than women in this area, coupled with women generally being uninterested in leadership roles. McGraw mentions that women are expected to fulfil more requirements than men, but I wonder if that's because more risk would be taken if they were to have certain responsibilities as a leader, given her claim.

I heard something about California passing a law that mandated a certain percentage of every company's board being women, which sounds insulting to me - as if to say they need their hands held instead of infusing within them a sense of strength or an assertive work ethic.
Yeah, she didn't cite any source or study on that, so it's probably part of the 83% of statistics that are made up on the spot :P
There are benefits that could come from having a diverse leadership group, but those are probably exceeded by the cost of forcing in less qualified people just to achieve diversity quotas. Competence needs to be the main requirement, and diversity a secondary consideration.
"Men and women are equally different...not equal."~Tangible Ghost~
Let’s be honest, women lead with emotions while men deal with brains, so let men lead and women take care of kids who are going to be great ppl.
No men have more muscle they are meant to work physically.
Women have bigger and heavier brains with higher emotional intelligence. They are meant to lead.
@@fruitsarelife7073 women doesn't have heavier brain ! Wtf ????
@@fruitsarelife7073 and not larger brain .
@@fruitsarelife7073 wait
You say that women have bigger brains than men, yet there are more nobel prize winners who are men.
Are you saying women's brains are inefficient????
We are not fighting over positions, man cannot grow up children but women can so we have to believe in everyone’s abilities to achieve future kids goal.
Indian President laughing in the corner
we say that we don't have enough women in leadership as Italy is about to elect an extremely fascist first woman prime minister.
It’s most likely just 1% get over it, too bad too sad
Too many.
We still have few women as brick layers
It’s 5% get over it. Too bad too sad
Define woman please.
I’ve seen some amazing women CEOs and I’ve also seen some horrible ones. The latter was a terror to everyone and especially other women in the company.
Thankfully Italy watched this video 😢
So Tedx too now supporting woke culture?
Can you lead them to the kitchen?
Women in leadership 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah underdog jobs also are more than 90% occupied by men, we have to have quotas on jobs like roofing and welding and break laying as well.
Don’t help them
God loves you and takes care of you for the arrival of this message to you. God exists and He is the one who controls the universe. The biggest loss that a person can lose in this life is to live and die without knowing God and His Messenger Muhammad and the Islamic religion is the last religion after the Torah and the Bible. I advise you who read this message to read The Qur’an is translated in its own language, and after that, you can decide whether you are convinced of it or not. What is your feeling after death, and you see what awaits you from God’s torment, an eternal loss of intelligence to know and read, and you have the judgment after your conviction.
What IS a woman?
promote based on merit
Oh look, a bunch of scared little boys.
Who probably still get their mommies to do their laundry.
Male trolls.
Big surprise
She has confidence wrong, she has no idea what so ever
Can someone tell me what she meant by "women" in high positions?
Sounds pretty transphobic if you ask me.
No
Remember when they said with women in charge things would be different. Now there is more debt and corruption than ever.
women are too emotional to be leader.
No we dont Laurie quit with your misandrist talking points
I mean its never enough for yall is it godamnn lol
If they can prove they can do it fine but being a woman should not give you special rights…
Yawn...
simple answer that was, is, and always will remain basically. women can have kids. men cannot.
therefore, if you look at 2 identical workers and u want to minimize risk as an employer, ignoring all other potential results like better diversity, etc etc , the male should always be chosen. simple as that.
its not some kind of mystery as to why. you can surely argue that benefits outweigh those risks but thats the pt. you HAVE TO argue/demonstrate that to be case and have someone care+believe/agree with you.
The state of the world is the result of male leadership.
They can take their leadership in the kitchen, that’s their place.
Maam please stop this.... leadership is either in a person or not but just promoting unnecessary undeserved woman only took the deserving people chances please stòp this feminism... try to understand either increase the skills among them or drop the idea
Too many if you ask me.
This topic has been beaten to death. Heres the facts: the women that are driven to do all of this and be top achievers, are outnumbered by women that do not desire for these things. It has been PROVEN time Nd again that the women that do make it to the top, silently step back and relinquish their roles. There was even a ted talk about it with a UK CEO who said she, and all of her power ceo female friends where dropping out. The majority of women dont want 18 hr days, etc. Women have the powers of choice, men don't have choices like this. We have only one choice- be a provider or you're worthless.
