This type of mentality is really apparent in certain progamers. Effort and Jyj immediately come to mind. Even in ASL 11 where Effort made himself the group of death, he was still willing to go down kicking, not once regretting his decisions. That's truly what makes a player dangerous in a tournament setting. For Jyj, you can tell even at the beginning of his rise (when he started taking games off prime Queen and Bisu), he wasn't afraid of anyone, and his attitude in interviews and group selection radiated confidence.
More proof that Jaedong is the true benevolent king of starcraft. The way he handles himself he'd probably excel at anything he put his time and attention to.
JD mindset is insane I can't imagine what he felt when sKyHigh reverse sweeped his team when he couldn't 4pool win against him. That burden - if God is fair I should win.
There is another video of Jaedong where he talks about winner mentality. Basically the gist is: I know how i was the top brood war player. I know how much work there is going to be, I know how to practice, so I can do the same in sc2. Which he became very successful in sc2. He also said he goofed off in sc2 which is why started to decline and pulled himself back by remembering that previous winner mentality.
Was this recent? Cause he's watching the uh, Rush Hour? game vs Flash. I hope he'll be rewarded some day, since his peak he's had to endure a lot of disappointment. I would love to see one more big win in his career.

JD speaks great English. But yeah, I'm sure he could just stare at you and give you confidence.

Really good video. Thank you for your translations.
Alright buddy, let's tone it down.

The same is true in chess. I am a pro chess player and you simply do not play as well if you think you are doomed.
If you don't mind, can I have your name? Or at least your rating plz

Soulkey has incredible mindset as well, being behind doesn't phase him as he really likes to reverse kill 😆😅
