      Joe never got Joe's actual Due meaning there'll be
      a Joe Tex Revival soon - I actually missed Joe first
      time around. Right under my nose, my era/generation -
      but maybe Joe wasn't packaged like James Brown. They
      didn't do a good job promoting Joe - and ima not even
      sure they UNDERSTOOD. What they had. Musta been
      frustrating for Joe, i.e. inventor of rap.

    This has got to be one of the all time great recordings of a live performance by the Wonderful Saxophonist King Curtis and Joe Tex on vocals. Curtis's wonderful long harmonic note towards the end of You don't miss your water makes you feel like all the water had been drained from your body. But in this case I will miss my water. ROSIE, Put the kettle on please.xx
