but i know what she means: you do your thing - painting, drawing, sculpting, composing or what ever your creativity needs to be expressed in - and then it happens. Bamm! One wrong drawn line. one note, that doesn´t sound quite right or even just a goddamn word that doesn´t really hit the mark! And every try to fix dis: for naught or worse even more out of place! Everyone else: "hey, great work!" but everytime you see/read/hear it: "GAAAAH!" pure agony! like it´s poking right into your face! I´m with my drawings miles away from Martinas level but that´s a thing every artist, or at least one who wants one to be, knows and sometimes timely distance - look at it a week later - or another point of view changes everything. Heck, look at Bob Ross´"happy little accidents"! But it´s ggod to know even Martina has these Moments ; )

@@can9033 think I'll take a theological approach. In Norse mythology and religion, Odin always worried that when Huginn and Muninn left to gather knowledge for him, that they might not return. They were his trusted allies in his pursuit of knowledge, even helping him with reconnaissance over battlefields so he could see what his enemies were up to. In this scene, it shows one flying away and the other in his ear almost saying a last goodbye before joining the other in flight leaving Odin without his trusted companions and the help and advantage they always gave to him. He is well and truly on his own for this one last battle against a force that was foretold to end him. Ragnarok is a story of endings and beginnings of an entirely new era.

The thing about this is that everybody calls it a masterpiece, but since you're telling you haven't done a lot of paintings of that sort, it means you aren't at your final form yet... and it scares me!

If I was only half as talented and skilled, I’d feel like I could conquer the world! Absolutely beautiful work. The play of light, the advancing doom, the way it all focuses on that point in the background, sweeping back. Just amazing, incredible, stunning. (And also, hearing the names pronounced properly just gives me shivers.)

Not only I have learned a lot from watching your process, as a fellow artist, but I also was amazed through it all. Three minutes in I already thought it was absolutely beautiful, not gonna lie, aha. The composition, the feeling of it all... and all the details, it's clear you've thought deep on this painting and how to convey this part of the myths. It seems like a really important one to you too, I adore your work! Just... I don't think I can express all the admiration I've felt through this video in a comment aha. If you do prints please do more than you did for CyberPunk. I wasn't able to get one in time. I kinda missed the CyberPunk episode by like a month then it was to late :p I hope to get a print of this, it looks amazing. Edit: I wrote that first part halfway through the video. I had to add' OMFG!! That is so amazing! Seriously that is like looking at my imagination coming to life. I have never seen a better Odin and Fenrir painting before. I really like how Odin desperately looks defeated with Gungnir broken laying beside him and Huginn or Muninn flying away as if to say farewell. Then Fenrir stalking in from the shadows, the final end.
I really hope you are very, very proud at your work. Well done, congratulations!

For that "area" that didn't look right, I just thought the wolf tail was too long. Where it hits the low clouds is where I think the tip of the tail should be at. At first I also thought too bushy, but the more I looked I think that is right, just a tad too long. Overall I think this is an amazing painting. Very ambitious and well done. Anyway I just wanted to say the amount of depth you show in your paintings is SO incredible. And you’re so freaking good at making things glow!! Like I’ve learned so much just from watching your videos. Lastly, the fact that you sit down through out the video and just state your thoughts on the painting, like sections you don’t like or how you mentally prepare yourself for what you’re about to paint (ie the clouds) is SO relatable.
