The fear of not getting a fast enough response in an emergency is one of the challenges faced by returning residents when choosing to live or visit Jamaica. Most developing countries have a 3 to 5 minutes response time. In most cases when you call 911 an ambulance, fire truck and police all come. They have to do better.

Can't compare Jamaica to a 1st world country, when it comes to emergency response time. The topography alone is a challenge in getting to the need.

Taxis are not the answer in emergency situations! Having trained persons, appropriate equipment, rapid responding EMS (ambulances, EMTs and Paramedics) are the answer. Apart of the EMS response, is that they notify the hospital ahead of time of the person (s) and events thst will be arriving so that they can quickly have adequate resources and time to prepare for the persons so that they give the person the best chance of survival and saving the person's' limbs and prevent disabilities. These are matters that we should take seriously.

An international airport without any ambulance.
Minister of tourism, you have a problem, IATA you have a problem. CAB you have a problem, Mbj airport you have a problem.
Now you can all point the finger at each other, but do something , dont loose another life, because it will at some point be your sin's and now you have to live with it.

That is Jamaica 🇯🇲, treats people’s lives as nothing, them just nuh damn care. All this is coming from the head , same damn way he treated Jamaicans. This concern and care need to be put in place before not after.
