Man, you are going deep with these highlights. Great memories from my early childhood. I couldn’t stand the Bengals, but I’d love to see a James Brooks video…starting with his days with the Chargers. Dude was a major weapon.

I have a master list of 170ish players to do and Brooks is definitely on that list. This is on top of the RUclips Shorts and longform rankings that I have planned as well. Can't say when a video on James Brooks will come out, but it will be in the future.

@@dukewilson14 ok cool. I’m subscribed so I hope to see it soon. He was a monster on those late 80s Bengals teams.

Greg Pruitt doesn't get the credit he deserves. At his best he was every bit as good as Walter Payton.

Yes, he was, and he always had 100 fewer carries per season than Walter, Franco, and other top backs of that era.

@@24gmj2010 People forget he was one win away from getting the Heisman Trophy. If Oklahoma would have beaten Nebraska, Pruitt had it sewn up, until Johnny Rodgers scored on that punt.

@@dougsfavorites2578 But you're talking about different seasons. Rodger's punt return was in 1971. He didn't win the Heisman until 1972 (Pat Sullivan of Auburn won the award in 1971).

He had that unteachable skill of almost coming to a complete stop, then accelerating to top speed in a heartbeat. He had a Hall of Fame career going until the injuries. It's too bad that Browns fans didn't get to see more of prime Greg and Mike Pruitt playing together. The Browns stupidly sat Mike for a while after he was drafted, before unleashing him.

Greg Pruitt is my all time favorite running back. My Mount Rushmore of running backs are Greg Pruitt, Mike Pruitt, Chuck Foreman and O.J. Simpson.
