I know this is older but I got a question for ya brother. So can you only fit 5 1/4 in the front but can fit 6.5 in the back? Or can you fit the 6.5 all the way around if I wanted. Or would the 6.5 be too much for the stock system and not have enough power to make them sound good? Sorry for all the questions
Sounds good, the factory speakers are complete trash lol, I’ve got a hatch sport with the 6mt and my only complaint is the rev hang, throttle response, and the garbage speakers. Ktuner fixes the two first things and I think I’ve found the fix for the speakers

Nah, no subs for me. Although, I might grab an amp to run these. Plus, I might change out the rears for components. Others have said the head unit isn't bad to get too. Not sure I believe them...lol!

Thank you, Andres! I could faintly hear it while I was editing. Haha, funny you say that! I forgot the screws on both doors and had to take the panels back off and put them in. Glad there so easy to remove! Good catch!!!
I personally have not heard the speakers in the touring so I can't really comment on that. I might try a different set soon just to hear the difference. Easy to remove and test other speakers now 😊
Thanks for doing this it definitely sound more clear than stock! When you are driving and maybe have windows down, is the sound still good or need an amp? I drive with windows down and worried about clipping when cranking the vol on nicer speakers. Thanks again man sweet ride

@@717PROJECT They're both 6.5" but front are GX628 and Rear seem GTO629. I am looking into both these models and since you have both models installed, do you feel any difference in sound quality in front from rear?
They now have plug and play adapters available. I would just do it yourself. Only thing is you'll need to drill holes for the speakers. Having a shop do it would all depend on their hourly rate.

You can put 6.5 in all doors. Sounds good. With an Amp it would sound better!

I have a 23 sport I noticed the back speakers are a lot lower than the front speakers when you change the back speakers did it eliminate that problem

Yes, big difference. If you just swap speakers I recommend running an amp. Stock headunit is that good.

Thank you, Mohammed! Apparently, it's pretty easy to remove. Pop the back off, 3 screws and unplug. Depends on if the harness's match up!

So you installed JBL GX628 6.5" in the front in an earlier video, what are those in the back, seems some JBL 6.5" but not GX628?
Are these GTO629 in the rear? Being on stock headunit/amp, how do these compare with the GX628 in front?
I put both 6.5 front & rear! Probably changing to components for the rear for a little more bass. Still sounds good tho!
