Amazing!! Looks at all those people waiting for their turn to experience this lovely thrill!! I still remember when as a very young student in London I took my last trip on a RT, #65 from Ewell Road in Surbiton to the Kingston Rail station, if memory serves me well. It was October 1974. How I fell in love with RTs, RFs, and especially RMs, which were my everyday ride. I'm glad I could experience that. Thanks for the upload!!
Love the ride. Good long run on this road, must be an industrial estate. I travelled on RT's when still on London routes 53 and 171A, 180/180A and Green Line 718. Remember the bonnet jiggling seperately from cab, must be the way they were built.
To think they were all over as normal, great days sadly gone. Nice to know many preserved.
Yes, as a little boy that movement of the bonnet, separate from the cab, used to fascinate me. Always went for the front downstairs nearside seat just to watch. Favourite route was the 145 between Ilford and Chingford, worked by RTs from BK and U.
Great place to film from.
I’ve only traveled in one of those buses once, when years ago Southampton were running many on service routes.
They must bring these buses back. At least for a heritage route for tourists. I wanna experience the thrill riding on one of these buses when i visit England soon
Nicely driven.
Well played, all.
Thank you.
Bit better than some of the rubbish in that depot yard
