As a longtime employee of the Kimball Piano Plant in West Baden/French Lick Indiana, All Kimball pianos Were produced here (1961 to 1996). After that our name changed to Springs Valley Mfg. We produced Brunswick pool tables, Definitive Speakers, and other items until plant closed in 2002. Fun fact : in 2001 we celebrated the 40th year at our plant 1961-2001, The CEO came up from Jasper In. where our world headquarters is located. And these were his exact words WE ARE NOT GOING TO CLOSE THIS PLANT..............In one year it shut down. (employees were scattered to other Kimball plants.) My favorite pianos to work on were the 5883 and 5105.
I’ve got a Kimball baby grand at my grandparents house. I love that piano. Unfortunately I don’t have enough room for it in my apartment so I’m trying to see about saving up for like a Kimbal console piano.
Hi Marlene! Thoughtful questions! Usually This is kinda of "Petite Grand Piano". As Kimball manufactured these ones, and they are know for it. As for the action; It is quiet suitable for families, and the children of course.
Sir, you play gorgeously. Thank you I enjoyed listening to that, and learning.
That piano almost looks like the one I had at my grandparents house. They said I could have it once I have a bigger place.

By the way, you’re really good on the piano. I only know a few songs.
Thank you!
Doesn't sound bad for a baby grand...what's the action like? Also, would this be considered their "La Petite Grand"? - Thanks!
