Today we decided to try and eat healthy and go to the local wet market in Manila. We only took 500 Peso so we kind of made it a challenge to only spend that amount and get enough ingredients for a fresh healthy meal. My Filipina girlfriend then took everything home and cooked up a storm and when the meal is home cooked like that i definetly appreciate the Filipino food more

I love Lay's quick capability to adapt to the environment of a camera, but keeping her 'natural' ways. No acting, no dressing up, no hair fiddling, no American pronounciations....she said tomatoes the english way plus she speaks very good english.....oh such a refreshing change. She is a natural beauty inside and out, and I love the banter between you both, I can't wait to see your next video!. The food looked tasty even though you had to pay more due to you being a foreigner Tom, so well done Lay, and well done Tom for showing the quick version of cooking, not a drawn out cooking show for the camera and content!

Lay can cook 💜 Home cook meals are much better and healthier. That gg fish is good and the ginatang kalabasa with string beans one of my fav dish. Tuna fish or any dish with coconut milk is delicious. Ginatang langka (green jackfruit), ginatang talong (eggplant), ginatang green papaya with chicken and ginatang bamboo shoots. My chef 😂 adds thinly cut fresh ginger when he cooks any dish with coconut milk. Lay how about making Tom some Tinola and Pinakbet with shrimp paste is also good. Happy cooking to you both 🙏
She’s pretty and she can cook too .love that and guys it is proven that eating home once in a while is healthier and cheaper here in the US. My husband and I goes out maybe once a week on a Saturday but most of the time we cook at home because it’s healthier ! Good idea Lay😊

Great video. We eat traditional Filipino meals and I am blessed with having a wife that loves to cook. Tomorrow we are going to one of our original wet markets that has grown/commercialized and is updated dramatically since we went there the last time before covid. I normally buy whole bean Sagada Arabica dark for our coffee maker ordering from various online retailers and we want to see if our coffee guy is still there.

Hey Tommy boyo,,that meal looked great! Maybe the next cut should be the white rice,,which isn't really healthy for you. But,sadly,,I prefer it to brown or red rice. I've often thought that with all the different healthy veg option I could nearly be a vegetarian. Or at least until I smelled pork grilling😂😅❤. There is definitely some great qualities to Lays personality. From what you've shown on vid,,I do believe she's a laid back,,no drama woman. I refuse to be like the idiots that believe they know a person after seeing a few vids " I can just tell" . I say slow and easy is the way to go.

It is great that you are eating more healthy foods. I do the same almost every day and I set aside one day a week and call it my "cheat day" where I eat stuff that's not as healthy and include a dessert which usually is ice cream. Lay, Pakbet, Ginataang Langka, Ginisang Puso ng saging with Tuna, Chopsuey, Diningding, Bulanglang, Veggie Kare Kare, Monggo, Pechay with Tuna, Adobong sitaw, adobong Kangkong, Sarsyadong Isda, Miswa with patola and sardines (u can use Spanish or the bottled one if u like), Ginisang Baguio beans, Taurus with fish and Tokwa, dami pa hahaha. Hey Tom and Lay. Looks a nice wet market there. I dred riding these tricycles bc I have a hard time fitting in bc I'm not built for the small size of the tricycle. And even the ones with the push bikes in Danao City around the area. Shakes the crap out of me. What a great dinner guys. Sooo lami. Long beans n squash (pumkin here) n coconut n other vegetables and manok. Fish looks delicious 😋. Rice is life 😋. More blogs please Tom and Lay. Try to travel to Tagatay for a couple days. Visit Taal Lake and take a tour around the volcano there.

Nice to see you shopping for healthier, home made meals. When I was younger, visiting family in the PI and we'd go shopping , my aunties would tell us she'll do the talking. My siblings and I only speak English. They tend to raise the prices if you're a foreigner.
