- Here is my buddy's band, White Noise Generator, rehearsing a live version of Sick Again (no vocals). Equipment used: Historic '60 reissue, Royal MSG100 prototype (Jimmy Page Marshall replica like the one he used live from '73 and later), cab with Pre Rola Celestion G12H30s, vintage 1973 Ludwig Vistalite kit, Fender Jazz Bass, multi-tracked live on analog tape. Shot in 1080p with Panny HD cameras....
You guys fricken ROCK!!!! Awesome 75' version!
you really nailed it, caught the tempo changes often missed!
Well, that is a perfectly excellent rendition. Sound and style spot on. My fave Zep tune of all, and you guys did it justice indeed. Bravo!!
I just played this tonight. You guys nailed it. Well done brothers all.
Crisp and clean...Salute!
NAILED IT!! Now here's the real question. Where do I find a pair of those flare jeans with the stars on the cuffs??
Can't tell if the best part about this video is the bassist's mustache or the quality of the recording...
Great Guys.
I dig this tune! Cool! Great job!
completely nailed pages tone
Holy shit guys! What groovy stuff! Blown away by the guitar playing. Superb!
Cheers from Sweden :-)
@varone6t9 .... hi.... not sure what you mean by tweaked?... no push pulls or anything like that... just one real PAF and a Ttop in the bridge like Jimmy had in that period.... and again a big part of the accurate tone is the Royal MSG100 amp with KT88s that replicates Page's amp from that period as well....
Thank you for playing great music and not attempting to dress like Jimmy Page :-P
@bobbybrownnose4..... Hi... well he isnt using a stock plexi here... its a Royal MSG100 (which he builds). It replicates a '69 Plexi but uses KT88 tubes (like Page) and has a couple of other circuit tweaks.....
holy smell the glove you guys are great.
@potsy24 Hey.... my buddy tells me that it's a vintage 70's 6.5x14" Supro and yes the tape does smooth things out plus vintage mic-preamps help too!
You guys nailed the drum sound. I've heard plenty of vintage Ludwigs, but they never sound like the old recordings. The analog tape must be the missing piece. You did a great job on this recording. BTW, what snare is that? I'm assuming 6.5x14 supraphonic.
Hi guys! Fantastic job, spectacular!! I play in a tribute zep here in Italy...I would ask you if you use a tonebender for your sound. thank's a lot.
the guitar is bang on to jimmys live tone. Was that les paul tweaked like Pages?
How about that drummer ! He's playing left hand with a right hand set up. He's cool, and he knows live bonham!! Not the same as the studio. Well done guys.
hey u ever gonna reveal ur secret...i've heard a lot of guys get super close to hendrix in style n tone...but many others totally chase page n r nowhere to be found...i still dont think its a stock plexi...im still not sure but i can come very close...hell ya...that u from myopic void....still same sporadic n compulsive but complex very close to page but with his own touch type....awesome...very awesome...would recognize it anywhere....very well done....shoot me an email..
