  • Hey all!
In todays video im going to talk about and review my Cardo Packtalk Edge, ive had this for around a year now so wanted to share my honest thoughts and let you know if this comms unit is worth the cash!
Prices vary on the Edge but at the time of writing a single unit will cost you £285 or £484 for the duo pack! (prices from amazon & new)
I hope you enjoyed the video!
If you want to checkout the edge specs and more info from Cardo you can find it here: cardosystems.c...

Good review! I've used a Packtalk Edge for over a year and have the same experience as you with it. However the voice commands are absolutely shite. Works once out of ten times. My girlfriend has a Sena SRL3 (basically the newest Sena device) I can tell you it's just as good. The only thing Cardo does better are the OTA updates (you have to use a WiFi adapter with Sena). App wise both are good and not much different in my experience. Personally I would go with Sena if you can integrate it in your helmet (like the new Shoei's). If you have to stick it on your helmet, go with Cardo

Ah interesting! I do feel integrated comms systems is probably going to happen more and more in the future… we shall see! Thanks for watching!

Useful video, thanks. I’ve just bought a Pactalk Edge as an upgrade from a Pactalk Bold Black so hoping the few improvements will be better. Have previously used a Sena 30k which was absolute trash, so would never use Sena again. Shame because I’ve just bought a new Shoei Neotec 3 so like the idea of it being integrated but just can’t trust Sena products!

Thanks for the review. I really want to buy this intercom, but I have doubts about how well you can hear other people or music when you are at a speed of 100 -140-180 km/h. The wind and exhaust noise are quite loud. Considering the fact that even with headphones after a certain speed it is difficult to hear the navigator. And here the sound is not directly into the ears, but around them through the speakers. I have a stock exhaust

I had the interphone before, It’s not too bad. I still have it so may use it on another helmet. I’d recommend a cardo however!

I just got a sena sr ext for my shoes rf400 and love it. Very easy to use and it sounds awesome. I ride a street triple so super windy on Highway but yeah phone calls are crisp too no wind or anything from what the person said to me

It has the battery on the other side tho but personally like it. Having one on just one side I can feel the wind frag my head to the left often

Not my experience at all! I’ve got my Edge to work ( fully )about 6 times in over a year. It’s great for making phone calls, and listening to satnav, but slapping in on your helmet, quick thumbs up to your mates like in the advert? Not in a million years! More like 5 of you standing around in the car park gazing at your phones for 20 mins before saying “forget it” of something else not printable here and going without it. Also if you leave it on your helmet after you take it off, you will damage the little fragile buttons on it when you put the helmet down, so take it off, yes good luck with that, the tiny (1.2mm) clip will snap, and then you are relying on the magnet, which luckily is quiet strong. But 400 yds range!,!!!!!! Not in my world, line of sight only , if you can’t see them you can’t communicate best I’ve had is about 300yds. My advice, save your money.
