On this day in 1961 {March 6th} Fats Domino performed "What A Price" and "Ain't That Just Like A Woman" on the Dick Clark ABC-TV weekday-afternoon program, 'American Bandstand'...
At the time "What A Price" was in it's second of two weeks at #27, two weeks earlier it had peaked at #22 {for 1 week} and it spent nine weeks on the Top 100...
"Ain't That Just Like A Woman" was at #43, the week before it reached #33 {for 1 week} and it stayed on the chart for 8 weeks...
Exactly two years earlier on March 6th, 1959 Fats was also appearing on 'Bandstand', and at that time he performed "Telling Lies" and "When The Saints Go Marching In"
The following week "Telling Lies" would peak at #50, then the very next week "When the Saints Go Marching In" would peak at #50 and "Telling Lies" dropped down to #59...
Two weeks later "Telling Lies" would once again reached #50 for a second non-consecutive week...
Between 1952 and 1968 the New Orleans native had sixty-eight records on the Top 100 chart, ten made the Top 10 with his biggest hit being "Blueberry Hill", it peaked at #2 {for 3 weeks} on Billboard's Most Played by Jockeys chart, and for the three weeks it was at #2, the #1 record was "Singing The Blues" by Guy Mitchell...
Antoine Domino Jr. passed away at the age of 89 on October 24th, 2017...
    May he R.I.P.
