Thank you dear for sharing your experience. I hope you find a better place and find better opportunities. I watch a young black girl who was a former model in S. KOREA and her experience was so bad she quit her employment even though it paid her well. She bought a house in JAPAN 🇯🇵 and she still blogs about her day to day life there.

Wow...I loved this real truth about life in Korea. I'm a Ugandan Nurse and my Korean boyfriend is a medical doctor and owns his private medical facility there. I won't forget the fact that my Korean Obstetrician went on leave unexpectedly at the last hour and I had to check into another hospital. Thank God the medical team at Sacred Heart Hospital in Gangdong were great. They all treated me with love and respect. I moved back home when our baby was only 2 months. She's 10 years now and has the best life here. Her dad comes to visit and loves our beautiful country too. The true beauty, love, unity and hospitality we have as Africans can't be traded for anything. We have many tribes, speak different languages but are all one race. Proud to be African and my boyfriend can attest to that.

South Korea isn't a heavenly state for foreigners, honestly. But most foreigners used to forget or disregard the nation's real situation and the related living conditions. This nation has a cheaper but reliable healthcare system for most residents including people from overseas. At the same time, Korea's public security level particularly at night is trustable too. It's much better than other countries practically. But that's all, no more or less. Not all things are good for visitors' lives unconditionally.
Gentlemen, what were your expectations in South Korea? Get real. South Korea is a normal democratic state and not a heaven-like country. Once lots of Koreans who went to the US used to imagine their much better lives about 20 years ago. However, nowadays, many Korean Americans had to go back to South Korea. The main reasons are America's racial discrimination, the worst street security, insane living costs, and crazy college tuition. There can't exist a heavenly nation on this earth and that's the human world.

To be fair they have a lot to come into diversity. But you do have an ajunma look hun and they are very much into beauty and people with western cute looks. Its already a standout when you are a foreigner but when you do not fit into cute stereotype too, then.. you might not have as good/bad experience as some other foreigners. But as a foreigner you have to come into Korea with your own thing because if you expect to thrive with a company there as a Black ajunma looking lady, definitely hardest. Better head to UK or Us for that lol.

@AdaomaOnwukaeme If you are interested, have a look at Korean beauty standards, look it up and see if you fit the description or the comparisons between your look and their standard. Their system is generally worse than the White standard they are trying to imitate. Current day & age, many white people are trying to tan and be more darker in complexion. But the current Asian (East & South East) beauty standard are trying to look whiter than White people themselves. It's as though they are decades behind in the what is currently happening in Western beauty standard. So I give them about 20 years before they become much more diverse & focus less on the tiny pointed features, skinny figure, smooth skin and pale skin trend that they are currently are stuck in. Currently, mostly foreigners that match those standards are likely to thrive within their community you should know. If you do not fit that description then it is best you go there somewhat established prior to trying to join their community, otherwise you will struggle to benefit within their community. Everyone should learn and understand this, especially as a Black person. Even more important as a Black female, we are respected even lesser than Black males.

@danisverse thank you for your submission. I completely understand what you mean, and where you are coming from. That you will take the time to write to me, means a lot. Honestly, I am quite comfortable in my skin and not interested in their "white standard". By the way, who created standards of beauty? On what criteria is beauty or looks weighed? Anyway, this is just me thinking aloud.

    • @StarLababy12
      @StarLababy12 13 дней назад

Because white people have colonized, most countries see being light or white as authority. White is power.
As a Black woman in the US, I would NOT want to go where being black is frowned upon.
The Korean beauty standard, glass perfect skin, white as hell, skinny...
Come to California baby! You'll be celebrated ❤

TY for posting this video. Your comments about living in South Korea are not unique. There are numerous YT videos made by different foreigners...who are not of very white skin...who have expressed the same frustration with Korean people and their society. The exclusionary attitudes seem to not be as strong with younger Korean generations, but it's still there. Other Asian nations do not appear to have the same level of prejudice and are more accepting of outsiders which is wonderful and the way it should be also in Korea. It's a real shame because Kdramas make the nation seem so nice. I think that is why Americans of color mostly refuse to listen to Kpop or attend Kpop concerts. Korean animosity is well-understood here in America and people refuse to give their money to music and associated paraphernalia from the prejudiced society. There's no love lost. Again, this is so very unfortunate. Hopefully, this entire situation both within Korea and outside of Korea will change in the future. Until then, individuals like yourself will have to decide: Should I really stay here or should I move to somewhere else where I'm welcomed?
Best wishes to you and good luck!🫶❤❤❤❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
PS. Even Asians from other nations have reported on YT videos that they also experience prejudice living in Korea. There's a video on the history of Korea that tries to explain why this hatred of others began within Korean society, but there's still no excuse for the hatred to continue. The world is a global community. There's no room for hatred anywhere. Koreans need to better understand this and actively address the problem if they want expansion of their nation's financial ties with the rest of the world.🙏

This is the same for visiting any other country as well...europe, european usa, canada, aussies, you name it...there will always be obstacles to overcome...
I have visited korea twice...I find the people just as I had envisioned them to be...they are very observant of you, even when you think they are not checking you out...they are.... I have learned that they treat you the way, they see you act...I personally don't want to be bothered, I just want to go and look around a bit, interact with the koreans I feel connected to...and act politely distant with those I only want a fleeting experience with...it worked for me....
This is my attitude towards all peoples in the countries I have visited and lived (I lived on the continent of europe...UGH, 'hated' every minute of IT, and I don't want to GO BACK !!!)
BUT, then I am used to the european mind game...I was 'not' overly turned 'off' by my experiences in korea...since korea showed the 'signs' of being CLEARLY indoctrinated into the european 'mind game' phenom...It's a 'cultural dominance game' european diaspora persons play using MONEY....strategically 'investing' large sums of MONEY in korea (and other countries) under certain 'conditions'...and what does koreans CRAVE over anything !!! DON...that's right Money!!! Because to koreans, money means POWER !!! As a result, the good of Korean Culture has been strangled OUT by back room meetings, where sly handshake deals and slick paper signed 'contractual agreements' for MONEY took place...Making korea into a 'disney theme park adventure'...and more of the same ole...same ole...that you can see and experience anywhere in the 'european' west !!!
It's the same way EVERYWHERE...cultural erosion by way of european 'filthy' MONEY !!!
So, of course YOU see NO BROWN Physicians, taxi drivers, korean born brown skinned government officials...and of course mostly all omahs and abojees prefer foreigners with 'rice cake' hued skin, to marry their sons or daughters...if there is a question about outside cultural marriage within their families.... It's part of the 'conditioning' of the korean psyche by the european diaspora!!!
We all know that IT is certainly working the way the europeans want it to go (pun intended)...
Koreans are WORKED to 'severe' exhaustion in jobs that they have to compete hard to get and hold onto (even when it would be better for them if they resigned from - due to adult work place bullying), their men are afraid of getting MARRIED to real WOMEN...because having children SCARES them to NO END...the possibility they (men) will have to work EVEN harder to LIVE as a family MAN...PETRIFIES them...and the women are having to DO everything...just like....Black - Pink...if you get my drift !!! The european investors, set korea up for self-sabotage-extinction...they used the weak spot of koreans which has almost wiped them out...their own 'avarice' for what the europeans 'hoodwinked' them into thinking were 'needful things' for progressive living !!!
I feel so sorry for the Koreans...they are suffering because of decisions made seemingly FOR them (in the 80s), but were REALLY against them...
What's next?...Is their country going to become the european test site for 'AI trans-humanism inductions', as a supposed way to help support the korean 'infrastructure' due to an almost non-existent work force, due to low birthrate and aged 'out' workforce population...Far-fetched you're thinking...NOPE, highly possible....Since WE 'all' are very acquainted with legitimate documentation concerning the europeans' past and present 'gruesome experimentations' involving human beings an 'testing', aren't WE?!...'cruel race those europeans, as well as their diaspora'!!!
I say...What the HEY, they (the Koreans) are between a rock and a hard place...just like YOU !! So, don't sweat this small STUFF !!! It is 'what it is'....until they the Koreans get tired of running the european sponsored 'rat race' and want to change their one sided understanding of the truth about other cultures, in so doing form a better viewpoint past the JUNK the europeans feed them thru 'student programs' in the usa, britain, france, germany, canada, russia (what the HEY...ALL the european gateposts of indoctrination, including the western media 'misinformation' pathogen blitz)....
Sorry to say...Things will remain the same (koreans are ADDICTED to MONEY & GOSSIP...europeans LOVE feeding any and everybody's ADDITIONS...
An Koreans ain't about to get off of the Filthy MONEY train ride they are on with MONEY Train Owners...the europeans!!!
So go on to Korea..but, at YOUR OWN risk !!! Either get a thick skin...stay there and put up with it....OR 'exit stage left' an get the HANG NAIL outta DODGE !! One way or the other it's YOUR CHOICE !
Buuuut, leave Korea with some FACE (Respect)...they deserve IT !!!

If you spent more time fighting against your incompetent, unintelligent and corrupt African leaders who have made the lives of Africans hell ,rather than hating Koreans and Europeans,Africans would have better lives in Africa and would not need to move to places where they are mistreated and have no hope of much socio-economic mobility. Maybe Korean's love of money is why they have great health care systems, fantastic infrastructure, scientific advancements, much better quality of life, high GDP and much much less poverty than Africa.
You sound jealous and as usual, instead of getting to the root of the problem, your solution (because you are mentally and physically lazy and can't come up with a viable solution) is to write hate rants on social media. Am I saying it's okay to mistreat Africans in Korea? Of course not, but writing hate rants is the expected reaction for a low IQ person who can't offer anything else.Koreans as a people struggled to accomplish what they have ,so give me one reason why they would just let people from underdeveloped countries, failed states and "failed cultures " come dominate in their society?
Pls show me a civilizational utopia outside of the modern technology and economic models that Europeans have created ? Is the world supposed to look to Africa for their inspiration? Until Africans deal with their own problems at home, invest their man power and resources to uplift themselves get out of poverty, scientific stagnation, reliance on Europe, they will never be innately respected.
