@@737simviator we best get back on the belt sander training then. One thing i like to do is get coarse grit paper on the sander, place the palm of my hand on top, place a 20kg weight on the back of my hand and turn the sander on. It's great skin training 👍
These guys called the Wide Boyz do crack trainers where you can set each half separately. And if you order in December you get a free role of tape. You should totally check them out 😜
The old plate in the end trick😂🤣 I luv your way of thinking...it adds more of a challenge having the MacGyver improv... I got a sore tummy laughin so much. As always top work boyzzz!!!💯❤️🤙
Epic TV: June 2038 Tom and Pete succumb to multiple lung and viral infections from years in the basement. In science news: 36 new forms of mold and fungi discovered in, what can only be described as, "some weird guys' basement,".
Found at the scene was one *looks at notes* Adam Ondra, appearing to be looking for a kneebar in a horizontal roof crack boulder problem. He had to be forcibly removed from the premises.
Maybe some good hardwood like oak next time?! Also I love the editing - great chat, good humour, easy to watch. In short, everything that Hardman X does Route Y videos mostly fail at.
I'm hardly a DIY king but you really should secure the volume when sawing so you can get a semi-straight cut (easier to saw too) and at least bend the ends of those nails off with a pliers. ngl I saw the split coming, there was already a huge crack in that bit of timber from the start.
Really loving the low tech but have to ask - why haven't you put proper tee/pronged nuts on 18mm ply-board fixed to the joists (especially on the new build area)? the amount of time you guys spend down there it'd be a worthy investment, also you'd not risk drilling through all that pipework etc.! :D
Anyone else wanna do this in their basement but is too scared of building/falling from it 😂 i work with wood but I need another crack boy to help, also a lower selling would be nice
You honestly need to do something about the walls ... by "3D-plastering" them and then painting them to look like real rocks! Then add a fan or two and an air conditioning ... for that "artic circle / desert feeling"! Mabe a "trickle hose" ... for that rain as well ... and a fog machine. For the floor ... get some earth and moss to have something soft to fall on, maybe some plants (to improve the air quality). Brilliant 😀

I burst into laughter like 4 different times in this episode, so funny hahaha that clip at 6:28, the crack explosion. so good.
haha brilliant, glad you found it entertaining :)
To think there are still people who haven't discovered the marvel of Wide Boyz cellar videos. Poor souls..
i fear for them...

Put your hands together,
in a stack,

discover crack.
@@antonh5394 one day...one day they'll discover it. And wonder what the heck they've landed upon
So that's what they mean when they say splitter-crack! 😅😁
Sketchy Jokes are coming out again. Keep them coming 😉 😂
Toms smile brings me joy
Really enjoying all the random protection laying around on the ground!!!
The old plate in the end trick😂🤣

So is Mari officially adopted into the Wide Boyz yet? About time I'd say! When the pandemic crap is over she should def do century!!
I guess you were being serious when you told Magnus to press hard enough to split the wood
You could name each section,
The @Magnus Midtbo crack broken bit, first name.
we're always serious ;)
9:00: Did Tom fell into the magic potion when he was little?! 🤣💪God bless this epic crack trio ;)
I love that you guys just head down to the cellar and do sketchy shit 😂😂 I strive to be that sketchy some day
ahh... The "want" at 5:18-5:20 just makes my heart warm! You other lot are pretty entertaining too. Thanks😃
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching
I'm totally digging the new thermal ceiling!
thinkng about keeping the family warm above

we joke about that now. but that could happen...
Pete is the kind of guy who'd send Silence after 20 months of hard projecting and downgrade it to 7b+
Of course it's gonna be 9c+, if you don't jam the crack.
thank you for the slo-mo XD that was amazing
splitter crack, if you will
Splitting crack
Class video lads hahah
Cheers 🤙
I love these videos. I’m just laughing the whole time. Can’t imagine hanging out with you guys!
thanks, glad you enojyed them
It's moments like 9:08 that make me wonder if there's enough oxygen down in that cellar for these goofballs xD
Awesome content!
Glad you enjoyed it
Maybe the best climbing video of all time haha.
Haha cheers
The most jebby pro climbers out there but gotta love the pure tenacity
Good effort on so many levels ^^
“Master Splinter” if that has not been suggested for a name yet.
Now Adam Ondra will have to come. Send the invite lads.
For anyone wondering the background music when they were building is Jazzy Frenchy
nailed it

some better wood would probably be better...
glad you enjoyed the video and editing style of it. thanks
The 'British Climbing' shirt is glorious - any idea where it can be found??!
Pretty sure it's an old RAB Tshirt
the break is so clean xD
quality grain
I always laugh so hard watching your videos. also, when are those crack gloves coming out?
Glad you enjoyed it. Crack gloves due late winter, early spring. Ready for Crack season 💪
Loving Tom's tshirt 😄
Everyone always loves Toms shirts. 1 week he's a divorce lawyer with buttoned shirt, the next he's in old classics
It seems to be an episode favourite from reading the comments 👍
Looks like practicing for the Bolt move!
OMG I want that "British climbing" t-shirt xD !
it seems a popular one this episode!
The adjustable crack trainer isn't sketchy, It's bespoke.
Finely crafted. We save alleged the shoddy shit for the cellar so you don't have to put up with it
i laughed so hard at the end caps
haha great stuff!
cheers
with the title of the video i was just staring at that piece of wood, waiting for it to break
6:30 Pete always looks like he's been caught doing something naughty.
Bit of wood glue, screw from the bottom up (pre drill holes first and countersink them add smear of glue, screw together, sorted) jobs a bobby dazzler
Haha 😂 now you're getting the hang of it 😎
Jobs a bobbies jobber
@@WideBoyz im from over the boarder in Merseyside (ex-Lancashire) so no nowt'😂

A diy program with you guys would be fucking helarious. 😂
I get finger pain just looking at that small wooden two-finger crack, like my fingers would fall off if i did that

Should name it "Master Splinter"
Yunno if you find it easier than 9a you could always find the worst hold and put some petrolium jelly all over it.
"It's just gonna happen, I know it is."
9:03 Looked like the crack was already cracked.
it was...we realised a few sessions later that this is what had caused it
Legends! :D
What shoes is Tom wearing
is it possible to figure 4 directly into the second crack?
And I thought my home ceiling was too low for a route.
Thats alright wood glue and a couple of screws sort that crack.😀
Noted 👍😎
Anyone else wanna do this in their basement but is too scared of building/falling from it 😂 i work with wood but I need another crack boy to help, also a lower selling would be nice
"I wonder how it broke"
-starts video-
"hmm guess that explains it.."
Wow talk about a splitter crack
ho ho ho double meaning
There's a 9A crack roof project on Kinder.

i was expecting a different kinda video for this title ;d
Hollywood's got nothing on your sketchy DIY basement productions
we're ready for a film offer from them...
that doesn't really look like climbing, it looks more like squeezing. Though that's a sport I haven't heard of. :)
Can see why Mari is Norway's best Female Crack climber.
Look, just say the word and I'll pack some tools and pop over, the first half of the video offended my woodworking sensibilities!
haha sorry...
Squeezin juice out the cracks apparently
Dose Marie get downgraded for smaller hands & feet to 7a ?
She's quietly smashing the route out while the ladz are flapping gums.
it's crack climbing. you win some you loose some, whats easier for some is harder for others, but it all works itself out over the entire crack range
@@WideBoyz Yer suppose so 🙂
A handsaw Tom really? You guys try to turn everything into training.
