@@jlehm haha as a frame of reference I was flashing most of the 8As i was trying on the kilterboard just next to them when as they were wrapping up the filming. This thing I did very much not flash. Didn’t even do it for that matter!

You really killed it with the setup and execution for when Matilda first goes nuts and does that insane splits power beta topout without the crimp aye. From your 'she kind of flashed' dig towards Nikken, into the music drop and epic setup, I was literally belly laughing insane loud out of enjoyment in my kitchen here(food in the oven, keeping an eye on it) when she solved that penultimate obstacle and then ofc there was the obious cherry on top when she finished the entire thing in the end aye :D
Love that format and love to see all the stoke! Both Mathilda climbing insanely hard and Nikken being a happy route setter :)

I was just waiting for her to get to about the third move and then dyno straight to top out. Her ratio of strength to weight is insane, then add in her height and reach, and she's absolutely made to climb.

Great video all around, from hold selection, to filming in that difficult corner, Mathilda's strong controlled crimpy climbing, the vibes and lastly the beautiful moves of the problem.
Not surprising at all, she was willing to climb those first moves again for another camera angle (I suppose?).

177cm so around 5'9.5". Her +14cm ape index puts her at around a +5", which is definitely nuts aha

I think when you aren't as tall, reachy and flexible as Matilda you have no chance at the top, havent you? Nice boulder though.
I think that was part of the idea behind the block, setting it in a matter where she could push the limits on her strengths instead of being stopped by weaker areas.
the span at the start too. But that was the point of handcrafting a boulder for a lanky climber, they don't have the opportunity to get max-spanned in the gym often.
