That, right there, is how you do a mainline (sorta) excursion. Having total faith in your locomotive and running at speeds that she was built to run. Great shots and great cinematography, the team at Dynamo never ceases to amaze me.
The best running we've seen of 611 in quite a while. The main line speed, the stack talk with excellent exhaust, the scenic surroundings, and one of the best steam locomotives ever made. 611 put on a fine show. Wish I was there in person. You got some great and beautiful footage here.👍

I hope these runs will continue in the future as I’d love to attend one seeing it’s the closest well get to 611 doing mainline excursions again.

To keep the train on schedule
The first few weekends, they didn't have the diesel on the end during the northbound trips.

They did

That was all Norfolk Southern rails, mostly ex. N&W and Southern. No C&O heritage there.
I was going to ride it but boiler issues, so now I have to ride the diesel :(
They got it fixed in a day
