What we know it’s that Purdy’s numbers don’t lie, what we know for sure it’s that Purdy handled very well the Green Bay defense, played almost perfect against Detroit defense in the second half when 49-ers was trailing by 17 points and any mistake would have cost the game. CMC fumbled the ball on first drive, deep in Kansas territory, Kyle didn’t involved Kittle and Aiyuk enough, the punt was fumbled on your 15 yards mark and Kansas scored first touchdown and on top of that the kicker missing extra point was huge. Because 1 . 49ers have the best roster in the league every year. 2. Jimmy G took them to a SB so did Kapernick. 3. Brock Purdy is now competing to be the highest paid QB in league history I know that last for all about a week usually, but if Lamar got $285 million than that means Brock Purdy is on the docket for $290-$300 million dollars? So now you ask yourself? IS BROCK PURDY WORTH THAT MUCH MONEY!!! KEEP IN MIND. He more than likely won’t be on a 10 year deal like Mahomes. So Purdy will be taking more money per year than Mahomes. Football is the ultimate team game. Individual stats NEVER paint a truly accurate picture of how good or bad a player is. That’s why Shannon feels they way he does. 1 . 49ers have the best roster in the league every year.
2. Jimmy G took them to a SB so did Kapernick.

That’s all this game came down to. Nothing else and yes Chris jones was an X factor. He did save many tds
The last three times Purdy walked off the field, he left with a lead. The defense needed to make one stop and they couldn't. There are no more questions about Brock. He's the guy.
McCaffrey fumble and the muffed punt were all on Brick Purdy, I guess
Don't forget the missed XP. The one that would have forced Mahomes to get a TD at the end of the game and not a FG!

Purdy impressed me, given that he was under duress most of the game. Spags did to Purdy what he did to Tom Brady. Against a solid pass rush, you're not going to win.
Exactly. Look at Mahomes for most of the game.

The head coach saying he doesn’t know the rules for OT is crazy lmaoooooo
I am not 49niners fan but Purdy played good enough to win. The fact that he stayed locked in to be a rookie and getting hit and rocked all night. This was a good game.
This is a QB who was Mr irrelevant already a proven athlete who went to the NFC championship game twice and went to the Superbowl even though he fell short. This guy made it further than Dak Prescott
@kelvinbirch5641 Purdy has proven himself. I wondered at the end of last season whether his chariot was due to turn to pumpkin but he proved he wasnt a fluke this year.
He didn’t play good enough to win, he just played good which is why they lost. You can’t afford to play good with all those weapons. He was the favorite, he had a 10 point lead & when his team needed to get TDs they settled for FGs because he was just good.
@@kelvinbirch5641 As Cowboys fan Dak is Better than Purdy. However Dak is only a mediocre middle of the Pack quarterback at best. @@Jay-ci4toI agree
Correct take.. game is different than when he played.. these qbs/rules are nuts now
Put Tom Brady on that same exact 49ers team with that same exact 10 point lead the game would've been over by early 3rd quarter.
@@-_--_---and Brady would have won that game at his age right now.
I said at the end of the game that Purdy is gonna unfortunately get most of the criticism all week, not Shanahan's lack of run calls in the second half, not costly turnovers or penalties, not missed extra points.
Dude Go look at the play by play in the second half first three drives no points nd they passed 8 only 1 run nd only 2 touches for cmc no points. Last 3 17 passes nd 15 runs nd scored 12 points cmc had 14 touches. Cmc is why purdy left the field w a lead not alot of what purdy was doin. He called those passes cuz he thought purdy could do more nd couldn’t.
Shanahan is 100% at fault here... Terrible playcalling in the 3rd quarter. The Niners had 3 yards the entire quarter... failed to capitalize on any of the turnovers KC made. LOL... Shanahan is overrated and needs to go.. Im a Fins fan so I don't have a hat in the ring, but that is my unbiased opinion on that.
Agreed, Purdy did very well. Better than some notable QBs, that’s deserving of at least top 10 for this year

PURDY IS NOT THAT GUY. YOU CAN’T LEAD A TEAM WITH 0 EMOTION.
Eli Manning has entered the chat..... Purdy is a big part of the reason they got to the Super Bowl, that loss isn’t on purdy Kyle failed his team again.....
The Brock Purdy hate is crazy. The kid is 24 and had Jones running at him all game. He never turned the ball over and put his team ahead on multiple occasions.
I think he needs time to develop which is why saying he is elite is a bit premature and unfair. We can get butthurt about calling him a game manager but he is young and needs time to grow. I say this because Jalen played outstanding last year in the Super Bowl and this year took a drop off.
It is insane but also he’s on his rookie contract till 2026 and if he doesn’t produce or get back to this level he’s going to get franchise tagged for multiple years…might seem irrelevant but the fact that they didn’t win the superbowl hurts purdy the most because he’s done enough to make that bag
Nah what you mean 24 if you are new to the game the way shannon speaks of him i would think dude is 10 year vet and has been to sb like 4 times and failed because of him dude i know he was not perfect but no one is mahomes was not butbhe had the ot td i dont want to work on what if but purdy had a td on ot to if chris did not rush to his face rigt after the snap

Nobody talking about CMAC fumble or the blocked FG. These are inexcusable in a football game. I feel as if they deserve more accountability.

Dumb comment . Pacheco fumbled as he was about to score . Does that mean the chiefs shouldn’t have won ?
@@julienforletta7896 your comment is dumb. CMAC fumbled on the first drive. And you're playing against a Hall of Fame QB. EVEN OR NOT. You can't make them mistakes against great QBs, regardless.

Even as a 9ers fan, I don't think he outplayed Josh Allen. Had a chance to add 65yds to his passing total, and probably points if Diggs doesn't drop that pass.

@@ThomasClark-yy4th he's polarizing at this point. It's his first full year as a starter. Can't really make any declarations about him, yet.

I think the rule changed because it seemed like the coin toss was deciding the OT winner. You still have to play the game, score if you have to, stop the other team if you can, then you win.

Yes you can. Its actually a great point if you still subscribe to how important a qb is to an offense, and the team couldnt effectively put points on the board with the best team in the league. Giving up the lead is a product of the offence not putting points on the board
