    This the best version of this Concerto! The pianist is so gifted and plays it with ease, grace and perfection! It's as if he composed the concerto himself. His expression of the piece comes from his heart!

    Not sure what I admire most: the intelligent musicality that shapes phrases and passages with grace or the flawless technique that realizes his interpretative intentions with deft precision. Loved the rhythmic spring to the whole piece. Great to see a young pianist being fully himself and not playing with an eye to an international jury.

      I humbly share your insights and, while admiring the whole orchestra, conductor and precision, I find the young pianist charging his cadences not only with pianistic fantasy but definitely with grace, depth, power and maturity

      Let's not exaggerate ! This is VIVALDI Music , Bach transcribed/copied it ; if it were another Artist , musical Critics would call him a PLAGIARIST . Nonetheless on plagiarizing so nicely, Bach is a true Genius 😮😮😮

    Stupendous. No words. Of the Bach Keyboard Concertos, this one really works on a modern concert grand just as well as a harpsichord with a tiny band.
    My two favourite performances of this up till now are JM Pirez and Edwin Fischer, but this proves that things are not once and for all. Simply stupendous.
    Best wishes from George

    Why not call it Bach's Keyboard Concerto No. 1, or simply BWV 1052?

    • @herrickinman9303
      @herrickinman9303 Год назад +2

      Because Bach called it a concerto for "Cembalo" (harpsichord), not a concerto for "Clavier" (keyboard).

    Why is this being described as "for Harpsichord," and then the performance is on a piano? Just call it "concerto no 1 BWV 1052".

    • @Snovi-x7c
      @Snovi-x7c Год назад +2

      Потому что во времена Баха этот концерт мог писаться только для клавесина, а поскольку люди это знают, то в поиске ютуба и пишут "Концерт для клавесина no. 1 ре минор" если человек более грамотный, тогда он напишет "концерт для клавира no.1 ре минор" или же люди которым нужно именно исполнение на фортепиано напишут "Концерт для фортепиано no.1 ре минор". Но таких людей даже в сумме меньше чем тех кто напишет "концерт для клавесна no.1 ре минор" и автор зная правила алгоритмов ютуба и выбрал наиболее популярный поисковой запрос.

      @@Snovi-x7cво времена Баха был клавесин...
      так давайте не искажать аутентичность произведения и исполнять в авторском контексте!

    • @herrickinman9303
      @herrickinman9303 Год назад +2

      It is called a concerto for harpsichord because that is the instrument is was composed for. It is played on a piano simply because it can be played on a piano.

  • @herrickinman9303
    @herrickinman9303 Год назад

    Well done for a modern instrument ensemble, though the string playing was somewhat lackluster at times when it should have been more forceful and expressive.
