Hey! Thanks so much! Glad to hear you’re liking it because I’ll be posting a bunch of videos coming up! Feel free to pass it on if you know anyone to share it with!! 🙏🏻
@@tennistactics You're very welcome, keep up this kind of insight and quality and you're going to keep growing. Super impressive. If you need any help let me know, cheers.
Your videos are very good, I'm glad you've added more visual examples like in this video compared to the Alcaraz drops one. I would like you to make a video on how to increase serve speed. Greetings from Argentina.
Hey, thank you for the compliment! I’m getting better and better at editing. But it getting to the point where I can finally do pretty much whatever I want in the videos, so I have a lot more visual tools to explain myself. Haha Thanks for the request!! I’ll add it to the list! Lots of stuff in the pipeline!
Great insights into what for me has been one of the best matches of the season so far. Cheers. P.S. How cool that Ian from ET has connected with you!!!
Thank you, my friend! P.S. Very, very cool. Ian is awesome and getting in touch with him was an unexpected gift! It's great to have a friend in the space. 🙏
Great as usual. Great content - Great delivery - A new lesson learned. Thank you. Some topics? 1)Hurkacz serve 2)Anything about Navone 3)Some players clear ceilings despite being able to beat top players.
Gilles Simon did this same thing to Novak with regards to hitting middle to prevent the angle at his Australian open match… Came close to winning but just wasn’t athletic enough
Yeah, you’ve gotta be ready to run a couple balls down if you play this card. Haha love that you recognized this too! Playing deep middle is underrated! 💪🏻
Murray did the same too to Novak when he was beating him in early 2010s. But doing that is also incredibly difficult. Either you should be super consistent like Murray or be hitting super heavy like Sinner. For example Nadal who plays with more angles is countered by Djokovic more easily imo.
@@korayaptall I think I agree with that. When you spread Novak it lets him use his natural strengths plus the geometry of the court. He has changed over time, but this is where he was best, even in the early days, countering guys who could play great angled rallies. Which makes sense because competing with Federer and Nadal shaped Djokovic. They both played a lot of diagonal balls, and he found a way to counter them. Its what he obsessed over for years.
The big X (or hourglass) image is going to be a game changer for me. Thanks for this and the Danielle "Killa" Collins serve return video. I tend to slice my backhand return (I have about 5 different ones). If you have any hot tips for most effective tactical use of slice, I'm all ears!!
Yes! Love to hear it!! 🙌🏻 Thanks for the request, that would be a fun one! The backhand slice is one of my favorites. Such a pretty shot. Consider it added to the list!
Wow In Case i choose to Go tennis pro,do well in Collage Post Collage after some years, and be a Tennis Proffesional I think i would Like to add you In my coaching staff Hopefully,This pattern helped me defeat my coach in a massive upset,He was so surprised,Haha,This X Pattern has become my primary play right now,😇🎾🔥
You should do analysis between Alcaraz and Sinner, US Open match, they use different tactics against each other, but Alcaraz uses more advanced tactics.
excellent content and well presented two things, I would like to hear your opinion and explanation are: 1. how players read opponents body posture in making decision on shot selection and shot pace (say if opponent is stretched in reaching the ball with his body slanted to BH or FH side - what to do?) 2. give us your example of PLAN B when Plan A (and please provide an example of plan A) is not working as expected. Thanks, I am advertising your channel to my friends
Thanks for the compliments! And thanks for sharing the channel!! - AND thanks for the suggestions! I'm particularly getting some cool ideas around the plan A/Plan B thing. I am big on problemsolving your wy through matches!
Yes! That's a fun stage to be in! You can do it! And there is lots of opportunities to outsmart opponents in that range! Stick around, because I have a lot of stuff coming I think you might find helpful!! And thanks for the feedback! 👊🏻
Do you think it is helpful to stand closer to the baseline then, to hit early and on the rise to give yourself the opportunity to hit the wide groundstroke? Agassi and McEnroe before him both played very close to the baseline and moved inside the court when possible.
Yes - absolutely! If you can step in the court it is much more realistic to play a ball that dips short and wide. Very risky to do when you are further behind the baseline!
I have another video about this coming out this Friday where we watch Federer run this same model! Its fun to observe the X in some of these pro points!
😂 the irony... It will be interesting to see if Djoker takes a page out of Fed's book and starts looking to shorten points even more as he gets older...
Hey! Thanks for adding this time stamp. Curious what you were time stamping, did you just want a time stamp to skip to the differences between them? Just want to know what people like most!!
I think that's Djokovic's AO done now, he can't win 11 nexr year, at 37 and a half, in fact, I don't think he can win any slam now, Wimbledon he has a slight chance.
He will win more and maybe he is 37 but he still performs like he is under 30, it’s impossible for athletes to win everything every year but Im sure he will win more slams
@@tennistactics He won't win anymore, his days are done, he's almost 40, his best chance is Wimbledon this year, but he's no Federer, karma going to get him once again, he's probably not even getting to a finals at Wimbledon this year, maybe QF.

Tough to say… he is getting older, but if anyone is prepared to maximize longevity on the court, it’s Novak.
That’s a good point, I think people are too quick to jump to conclusions sometimes. Novak is still ranked number one in the world right now….

Sinner won these matches because Djokovic isnt playing his A game at the moment. Its as simple as that. No need for analysis.
Totally fair to say Djoker was off his game in this match! But it's interesting to study sinner's patterns nonetheless! 👌🏻
